About MissFit
MissFit Coaching runs job searches on behalf of director-level and above executives — sourcing roles, mapping networks, building strategy, doing outreach. We keep the client roster small on purpose so the work stays deep.
We are already an AI-heavy operation. Claude and Perplexity are in daily production use across client delivery. We maintain an internal library of AI skills, automated workflows in n8n, and integrations across our CRM, calendar, phone, and project systems. This is not a company where you'll be introducing AI. It's one where you'll be making an existing stack better and more reliable.
Our team is distributed across Nigeria, Pakistan, California, and elsewhere. We work asynchronously by default.
The role
Roughly 70% AI and automation work, 30% systems and IT administration.
The AI work is the reason this role exists. The IT work has to run cleanly underneath it so the rest of the team can do their jobs.
You report to the founder/CEO and work closely with Client Services leadership.
What you'll do
AI and automation (the bulk of it)
Extend and maintain our library of AI skills and agents used in daily client delivery
Diagnose when an agent's output drifts, degrades, or quietly stops being useful — and flag it before anyone else notices
Build and maintain n8n workflows moving data between systems without human handling
Connect APIs across our CRM,
Test changes properly. A skill that improves one output and breaks two others is a net loss
Document what you build so it survives your vacation
Systems and IT administration
Google Workspace at the Admin Console level: users, groups, org units, shared drives, security policy
3CX phone system: extensions, routing, queues, call flows, troubleshooting
Onboarding and offboarding — accounts live day one, access revoked the hour someone leaves
Licenses, subscriptions, vendor management, tooling inventory
Day-to-day support for a distributed team
Security
Maintain access controls, backups, and data handling practices appropriate to confidential client career information. Some of our clients are conducting searches their current employers don't know about. This is not a formality.
Requirements
3+ years in IT administration, systems engineering, DevOps, or similar hands-on work
Hands-on experience building with LLMs — prompts, agents, API integration, tool use. You've built things that other people relied on, and you can walk us through them
Direct working experience with Claude — skills, projects, MCP, connectors, or the API
Google Workspace administration, Admin Console level
Workflow automation (n8n, Make, Zapier, or equivalent) with builds you can describe in detail
Python or JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON
Exceptional written English. Most of your communication will be written, across time zones, often about problems
Proven ability to work asynchronously with a distributed team — clear handoffs, written updates, no dependence on meetings to make progress
Strongly preferred
3CX or comparable VoIP/PBX administration
CRM and sales tooling (Apollo, HubSpot, Calendly)
Light front-end work (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
How we work, and who this suits
You'll be handed problems, not tickets. We expect you to come back with an approach rather than a request for instructions.
The two traits that matter most are proactivity and collaboration. Proactive means you surface the broken thing on Tuesday rather than confirming it's broken on Friday, and you tell us what a system needs before it fails. Collaborative means you ask the Client Services team what they're actually trying to accomplish before you build them something, and you take feedback without friction.
We don't track hours. We track whether things work.

Your resume
A short written note - please not a cover letter template — answering: Describe one AI agent, automation, or integration you built and maintained. What broke in production, how did you find out, and what did you do?
A Loom video, 2–3 minutes, unscripted, answering: Walk us through the messiest IT or systems environment you've inherited. What did you fix first, and why that?
The Loom doesn't need editing, good lighting, or a tidy background. We're listening to how you think and explain, not watching a production. Applications missing any of the three won't be reviewed.
