Fractional AI & Copilot Studio Specialist
TCH Industries — Northeast Ohio, USA
Employment Type: Fractional / Part-Time (hours vary by project phase)
Location: Remote
Compensation: Hourly or monthly retainer — open to discussion
THE ROLE
This is a rare opportunity to get in early on a company-wide AI transformation and help shape it from the ground up. You will work directly with our CEO and full-time Power Platform developer as a trusted technical partner — helping architect our AI vision, making key design decisions, and rolling up your sleeves on the most complex and interesting builds as they arise.
The work spans every part of the business: sales intelligence, financial reporting, production and scheduling, quality systems, ISO compliance, and more. You will help us determine how all of it gets connected, automated, and enhanced through AI — starting with Microsoft Copilot Studio and expanding from there into whatever platforms best serve the mission, including Claude and other leading AI tools.
Your engagement will flex with the work. Some phases will call for deep collaboration and hands-on building. Others will be lighter — a few hours of guidance or architecture review. What stays constant is the relationship. We are looking for someone who wants to be our long-term AI partner as this vision grows in scale and ambition.
WHAT YOU'LL BE ENGAGED ON
• Copilot Studio architecture — multi-agent design including orchestrator/router logic, agent scoping, knowledge source strategy, and integration patterns
• Complex agent builds — hands-on development when the work exceeds the developer's current capability
• AI platform strategy — advising on when to use Copilot Studio vs. Claude API vs. other models, and how to integrate across platforms
• Prompt engineering — designing and refining system prompts, agent instructions, and knowledge grounding strategies
• Power Platform integration patterns — connecting Copilot agents to SQL, SharePoint, Power Automate, and external APIs
• Quality review — periodic review of what the developer has built to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or architectural risks
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Microsoft Copilot Studio — deep, demonstrated expertise in multi-agent architecture
• Power Automate — complex flow design and integration
• Microsoft 365 / SharePoint — data source architecture for AI agents
• Claude API (Anthropic) or other LLM APIs — hands-on integration experience
• Prompt engineering — proven ability to write and refine system-level prompts for production agents
• Strong written English — you must be able to explain complex concepts clearly to a non-technical CEO
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
List all certifications you hold. Strong preference for candidates with one or more of the following:
• PL-600 — Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect
• AI-102 — Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate (nice to have — signals depth in the Microsoft AI ecosystem beyond Copilot Studio)
• Any Microsoft AI or Copilot-specific certifications issued after 2024
IDEAL BACKGROUND
You have built and shipped multi-agent Copilot Studio systems in a real business environment. You understand the difference between a demo and a production deployment. You are comfortable working across AI platforms and have a clear opinion about when Microsoft's stack is the right tool and when it is not. You communicate like a senior practitioner, not a vendor.
