We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer who is comfortable working with Linux, servers, APIs, and open-source software, and who is highly interested in the fast-moving generative AI ecosystem.
You do not need to be a machine learning researcher, and you do not need years of previous AI experience.
What matters more is that you are a strong engineer who can quickly understand unfamiliar open-source projects, get them running, troubleshoot problems independently, and turn new technologies into usable product features.
What We’re Looking For?
3+ years of professional development experience with at least one backend programming language, such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, Ruby, Go, or similar.
Strong backend development experience, preferably with Python.
Very comfortable working with Linux and command-line environments.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with Git, Docker, Python environments, APIs, server deployment, and dependency management.
Able to independently deploy and maintain services on Linux servers.
Comfortable reading GitHub repositories, technical documentation, issues, discussions, and source code.
Able to quickly understand unfamiliar open-source projects and make them work.
Strong ability to troubleshoot environment, dependency, GPU, CUDA, memory, and deployment issues.
Highly proactive and self-driven.
Strong interest in generative AI and open-source technologies.
Willing to continuously experiment with new tools, models, and workflows.
Comfortable working remotely with strong self-management and online communication skills.
We value practical engineering ability, curiosity, and learning speed more than formal AI or machine learning credentials.
What You’ll Do?
Build, modify, debug, and optimize ComfyUI workflows.
Research newly released open-source image, video, audio, and multimodal generation models.
Quickly test promising models and understand their actual capabilities, limitations, hardware requirements, and potential product use cases.
Deploy open-source models on GPU servers.
Integrate useful models and workflows into our apps, websites, and backend services.
Build APIs and backend services around AI generation pipelines.
Research different LoRA training tools and training workflows.
Run LoRA training experiments and tune training configurations to improve results.
Compare different models, checkpoints, LoRAs, workflows, and inference configurations.
Optimize generation speed, GPU memory usage, stability, and output quality.
Continuously follow GitHub, Hugging Face,

Previous experience in the following areas is helpful, but not required:
ComfyUI
Hugging Face models
Image or video generation models
LoRA training
PyTorch
CUDA and GPU environments
RunPod, Vast.ai, AWS, or other GPU cloud platforms
Stable Diffusion, FLUX, Qwen Image, Wan, or similar open-source models
musubi-tuner, AI Toolkit, kohya_ss, or similar training tools
The Kind of Person We Want
The generative AI ecosystem changes extremely quickly.
We are looking for someone who enjoys exploring new technologies and can learn through documentation, source code, community discussions, and experimentation.
When a useful open-source model is released, you should be able to quickly:
Find it.
Deploy it.
Test it.
Understand what it can and cannot do.
Modify or optimize the workflow.
Determine whether it is useful for our products.
Integrate it into production if it provides value.
You do not need to invent new AI models from scratch.
Your job is to stay close to the open-source AI ecosystem and turn the best available technologies into real product capabilities as quickly as possible.
