# JOB TITLE: AI Automation Specialist

**GoHighLevel + AI Chatbots + CloseBot**

**Type:** Full-Time
**Hours:** 40 Hours Per Week

## ABOUT THE ROLE

We build and deploy AI-powered chatbots, automation systems, and sales workflows for businesses using **GoHighLevel, CloseBot, AI conversation tools, APIs, and third-party integrations**.

We are looking for someone who is already **highly proficient with GoHighLevel and automation systems** and can take an idea from concept to **fully tested, live, and working** without needing constant direction.

You will be the first technical automation hire on the team and will work directly with the founder.

This is a **hands-on builder role — not a generic VA position and not an entry-level GoHighLevel role.**

I need someone who understands these tools well enough to **think independently, troubleshoot problems, recognize what needs to be done, and execute without being told every individual step.**

If you need someone constantly following up with you, reminding you to complete tasks, or explaining basic GoHighLevel functionality, this position will not be a good fit.

## WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Build and manage AI conversation bots inside **GoHighLevel**
* Build and manage bots using **CloseBot and similar AI chatbot platforms**
* Set up and troubleshoot **GoHighLevel Conversation AI**
* Build workflows, triggers, pipelines, opportunities, custom fields, tags, calendars, and automations
* Connect GoHighLevel with third-party platforms using **APIs, webhooks, Zapier, Make, n8n, and other integration tools**
* Build automation systems from an idea or desired outcome — not just from step-by-step instructions
* Test every workflow and bot thoroughly before it reaches a client
* Identify edge cases and problems that were not specifically pointed out to you
* Monitor live bots and automations and quickly diagnose failures
* Fix automation logic, conversation-flow issues, booking problems, webhook failures, and incorrect bot behavior
* Improve existing systems when you notice something can be built better
* Document systems clearly so they can be maintained, duplicated, and handed off
* Communicate progress, blockers, solutions, and recommendations clearly

## WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

### Strong GoHighLevel Experience

You should have **real hands-on experience building inside GoHighLevel.**

You should already understand:

* Workflows
* Triggers
* Pipelines
* Opportunities
* Calendars
* Custom fields
* Tags
* Conversation AI
* Contact management
* Conditional logic
* Webhooks
* Integrations
* Troubleshooting automation failures

Knowing how to navigate GoHighLevel is **not enough**. I need someone who knows how to **build systems with it.**

### AI Chatbot Experience

You should have experience building or managing:

* AI conversation agents
* Lead qualification bots
* Appointment-setting bots
* Follow-up bots
* Customer service bots
* AI-powered sales conversations

Experience with **CloseBot** is strongly preferred.

### Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

This is one of the most important requirements.

I need someone who can **think for themselves.**

For example, if I tell you:

> “The bot should qualify the lead and book an appointment.”

I do not want to have to explain every trigger, field, workflow, condition, fallback, edge case, and testing scenario.

You should be able to think through:

**What information needs to be collected?
What happens if information is missing?
What happens if the lead gives an invalid answer?
What happens if the calendar has no availability?
What happens if the webhook fails?
What happens if the bot gets stuck?
How should the workflow recover?**

You should naturally think about these things while building.

I need someone who does not just complete the exact task they were given and stop. If you notice something is broken, incomplete, or could cause a problem later, **bring it up and fix it.**

### Self-Directed Execution

You should not need constant reminders.

Once a task is assigned, I expect you to:

**Understand it ? Build it ? Test it ? Troubleshoot it ? Verify it ? Report back when it is complete.**

I should not have to repeatedly ask:

“Did you finish this?”

“Did you test it?”

“Did you check the workflow?”

“Did you fix the issue?”

Ownership and follow-through are extremely important for this role.

## TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

You should be comfortable working with:

* **GoHighLevel**
* **CloseBot**
* AI conversation systems
* APIs
* Webhooks
* JSON
* Zapier
* Make
* n8n
* ChatGPT / OpenAI
* Claude
* Third-party SaaS integrations

You do not need to be a full-stack software engineer, but you should be comfortable figuring out **how different tools communicate with each other** and troubleshooting them when they do not.

## WHO WILL DO WELL IN THIS ROLE

You will probably do well here if you are the type of person who sees an automation fail and immediately wants to figure out **why it failed** instead of waiting for someone to tell you what to check.

You enjoy building systems.

You test your own work.

You pay attention to details.

You understand that a workflow being “built” does not mean it is finished — **it has to actually work.**

You can research a problem, test possible solutions, and make decisions without needing constant supervision.

## WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY

* You only have basic GoHighLevel experience
* You primarily have VA or administrative experience
* You have watched GoHighLevel tutorials but have not built real systems
* You need step-by-step instructions for every task
* You regularly need reminders to finish assigned work
* You do not test your own automations
* You struggle to troubleshoot problems independently
* You cannot show examples of systems you have actually built

I am specifically looking for someone with **real experience, technical ability, strong critical-thinking skills, and ownership.**

## HOW WE HIRE

We start with a **short paid trial project** before committing to a long-term position.

The trial will involve a real automation or chatbot-related task so I can evaluate:

* Your GoHighLevel knowledge
* Your automation skills
* Your troubleshooting ability
* Your attention to detail
* Your critical thinking
* Your communication
* Your ability to work independently

The goal is to see how you actually work — not just how well you interview.
