ALX Enterprises is a privately owned Australian company that acquires, partners with and builds established operating businesses. We work closely with the teams in those businesses to strengthen their systems, processes and tools for the next stage of growth.

One of the businesses we own is a privately owned, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified Australian commercial-services company. Since 1998, it has provided HVAC services, maintenance, installations, and building fire testing and certification for commercial and industrial clients across Australia.

As we grow, we are investing in the systems and automation that let our businesses scale without losing the hands-on approach that earned their reputation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a role for someone who sits where technology meets the business. You’re hands-on, but you think in outcomes, not just code. You’ll help build the systems that run the businesses we own and partner with — a CRM, a website, and the automations that take busywork off the team’s plate — using Claude, ChatGPT, and whatever tools get the job done.

One day you’ll be writing and shipping real systems. The next you’ll be figuring out where an AI agent could save the team hours, or fixing something in Outlook. If you love building things that actually change how a business runs, and you’re not precious about which task you pick up next, this one’s for you.

This is a new role. There’s no established playbook — you’ll help set the direction. You’ll work directly with Alex Camacho, founder of ALX Enterprises.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build a CRM from scratch to run the business end to end — leads, jobs, service history, client communication
• Design and build using the Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI) APIs
• Build and maintain business websites
• Automate the paperwork and manual processes that slow the team down — quoting, scheduling, reporting
• Spot the repetitive, manual parts of the business that AI can fix, and build the fix
• Handle day-to-day tech support — Outlook, Microsoft 365, Dropbox, endpoint protection
• Document what you build so it can be handed off, scaled, or improved later
