About the Role
Phoenix Home Remodeling is a home remodeling company based in Phoenix, Arizona. We're building out our AI and automation capabilities and need a developer who can take ownership of that work and grow it over time.
This role starts focused on automations that directly support lead generation and conversions. Over time it will expand into other areas of our online operations including content publishing, image creation, social media, and more. You'll work directly with our internal team and will be the go-to person for building, maintaining, and improving our automation stack.
This is a ground-floor opportunity on a small, fast-moving team. If you like figuring things out independently, building things that didn't exist before, and seeing your work directly impact a real business, this is the right fit.
What You'll Be Working On
- Building and maintaining AI agent workflows using OpenClaw
- Creating and managing automation workflows in N8N
- Integrating tools with our CRM and marketing platform (GoHighLevel / GHL)
- Connecting LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) to real business tasks
- Automating content tasks
- Identifying new opportunities to reduce manual work across our team
Required Skills
- JavaScript / Node.js - solid working knowledge, not just basic familiarity
- N8N - must have built real workflows in N8N specifically, not just comparable tools
- LLM API experience - you've called Claude or OpenAI APIs directly and built something real with them
- Experience with AI agent frameworks - AutoGPT, CrewAI, LangChain, or anything similar
- API integrations - comfortable connecting platforms via REST APIs and webhooks
- Command line / CLI - comfortable working in terminal environments
- Strong written English - you'll communicate daily with a US-based team
Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with OpenClaw - the tool is only a few months old so this isn't required, but if you've used it, say so
- Familiarity with hosting provider and setting up and connecting to protocols such as SSH, HTTPS, SFTP etc
- Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL) - this is a meaningful advantage given how central it is to our stack
- Python - useful for scripting and many AI automation tasks
- SEO or digital marketing background - helps you understand the business context behind what you're building
What We're Looking For in a Person
- Self-directed. You don't wait to be told what to do next.
- Honest about what you don't know. This stack is new and evolving. We need someone who flags problems early, not three - weeks after something went wrong.
- Fast learner. OpenClaw is brand new technology. You'll need to figure things out from documentation and community resources.
- Reliable communicator. You're remote and international. Consistent updates and response time matter.
Logistics
- 100% remote
- Full-time, 50 hours/week
- Must have meaningful availability overlap with Arizona time (MST)
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace required
Compensation Structure:
This role includes a 3-month trial period so both sides can make sure it's the right fit.
Month 1: $1,800/month
Month 2: $2,000/month
Month 3: $2,200/month
Month 4+ (full rate): $2,200-$2,400/month based on performance
