ROLE SUMMARY:
The Compliance & Finance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of Ally Logistics’ carrier network and financial operations. This role is responsible for thoroughly vetting carriers using the Highway platform, maintaining accurate carrier profiles and records within the TMS, and providing timely communication with agents and internal teams. On the finance side, the coordinator performs credit assessments, manages escalations following established protocols, and monitors both customer and carrier invoices to ensure timely payment. This position requires after-hours support to resolve accounts payable and receivable issues, ensuring seamless operational and financial compliance across the organization.
Regular Weekly Schedule (40 hours): Monday – Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time with 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPLIANCE:
-Thoroughly Vet Carriers through Highway Platform
-Efficient and proficient communication with Agents and Ally Logistics Employees when needed
-Working within TMS, updating carrier profiles, notes, and manually turning carriers on/off
FINANCE:
-Perform credit assessments and manage escalations using an established escalation matrix and external credit monitoring tools, including after-hours support
-Process and monitor customer and carrier invoices to ensure timely payment, and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable escalations as needed after hours
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
-Response time to Agent questions/inquiries is 5 minutes or less for compliance and finance escalations
COMPENSATION:
-Compensation will be determined based on experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics/3PL industry
-Minimum of 2 years of compliance or finance experience, preferably within the logistics/3PL industry
-Experience working with Freight Agents
-Experience within Front and Highway
-Strong written and verbal English communication skills
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Exceptional organizational and time management skills
