3D Modeler

Job Type: Full-Time (Project-Based)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented 3D Modeler to support a project focused on preparing a large product library for a new website. In this role, you will optimize existing 3D models, create new models where needed, and convert files into web-ready formats for an online 3D viewer. The ideal candidate has strong 3D modeling experience, is comfortable working independently in a remote environment, and can deliver high-quality, optimized assets within project deadlines.
This is a remote, project-based position expected to last 6 to 8 weeks, with the possibility of additional work based on project needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Locate, organize, and manage approximately 2,000 product models from an existing 3D library.
* Organize Rhino layers by material and component according to established standards.
* Model missing components required for the online 3D viewer based on provided specifications.
* Create complete 3D models for products that currently exist only as 2D drawings.
* Prepare geometry, materials, and surfaces for texture mapping and web visualization.
* Optimize 3D models for real-time web viewing while maintaining high visual quality.
* Convert and export finalized models as .glb files using required export settings.
* Maintain an organized folder structure and file naming convention for all completed assets.
* Participate in twice-weekly progress meetings to review completed work, discuss priorities, and address questions.
* Collaborate remotely with the project team while managing tasks independently and meeting project deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in 3D modeling for product visualization or similar applications.
* Proficiency in Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D) is strongly preferred.
* Experience preparing and optimizing 3D assets for real-time web visualization.
* Familiarity with .glb (GL Transmission Format) and other web-based 3D file formats.
* Ability to create accurate 3D models from 2D technical drawings.
* Strong understanding of geometry optimization, materials, UV mapping, and texture preparation.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent modeling standards.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large asset libraries efficiently.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment while communicating effectively with the team.
* Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to evolving project priorities.

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
