JOB OVERVIEW

That is a great addition! However, it is important to note that **Adobe Character Animator and Kling Motion Control use completely different animation technologies.**
* **Adobe Character Animator** is traditional 2D puppeteering. It requires a complex, layered file with all the limbs, facial features, and mouth shapes completely separated.
* **Kling Motion Control (on Higgsfield)** is generative AI video. It does *not* use a rigged file or layers. Instead, it requires a single, pristine, high-resolution flat image of the character—ideally in a neutral, unobstructed stance (like a standing A-pose) where the AI can clearly see the entire body, proportions, and face without overlapping limbs.
Since the contractor will already be re-drawing and cleaning up the Illustrator file, they can easily provide both. They just need to export a specific version of the character optimized for your AI workflow.
Here is the updated job posting with the Higgsfield/Kling requirements integrated:
### **Job Title:** 2D Illustrator & Animator: Rig Mascot (.ai) for Adobe Character Animator & AI Motion Control
### **Job Overview:**
We are looking for a skilled 2D illustrator and animator to take our existing company mascot (currently a flat vector logo in an Adobe Illustrator .ai file) and prepare it for two distinct video workflows.
First, we need it converted into a fully functional, rigged digital puppet for **Adobe Character Animator**. Second, we need a clean, optimized export of the character prepared for AI motion transfer using **Kling Motion Control via the Higgsfield AI platform**.
If you have experience preparing vector assets for both traditional 2D rigging (custom triggers/visemes) and AI video generation, we want to hear from you!
### **Scope of Work & Responsibilities:**
1. **Asset Preparation (Adobe Illustrator):** Open our existing vector mascot file, clean up the paths, and separate the character into the strict, correctly named layer hierarchy required by Adobe Character Animator (e.g., separating eyes, pupils, eyebrows, blinking states, mouth shapes/visemes, torso, and limbs).
2. **AI Motion Control Prep (Kling/Higgsfield):** Using the cleaned vector, create a high-resolution, full-body flat export of the character in a neutral standing pose (or A-pose). Ensure there are no overlapping limbs or objects obstructing the face/body, as this will be used as the base reference image for AI motion tracking and element binding.
3. **Puppet Rigging (Adobe Character Animator):** Import the prepared .ai file into Character Animator and build a complete, high-quality puppet rig.
4. **Triggers & Controls:** Set up auto lip-syncing, eye-gaze tracking, and breathing behaviors. Create keyboard triggers for basic gestures (such as a hand wave, a point, or changing facial expressions).
5. **Testing & Optimization:** Ensure the puppet deforms smoothly without visual glitches during webcam tracking.
### **Project Deliverables:**
* The newly organized, layered Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file.
* The final, fully rigged Adobe Character Animator (.puppet) file ready for use.
* A high-resolution, full-body flat .png (unobstructed, neutral pose) optimized specifically for Kling AI / Higgsfield.
* A 10-second test recording (.mp4) showing the Character Animator puppet's functionality.
### **How to Apply:**
Please submit your application with the following:
1. A brief introduction about your experience with Adobe Character Animator and preparing character assets for animation.
2. **Links to your portfolio or specific examples of puppets you have rigged in Adobe Character Animator.** (Applications without relevant video or puppet samples will not be considered).
3. Your estimated turnaround time for a project like this.
*To ensure you have read this entire job post, please start your cover letter with the word **"ANIMATOR"** in all capital letters. Generic, copy-pasted applications will be ignored.*
