We are looking for a talented 2D Game Artist / Illustrator to help create artwork for The Final Bell, an indie boxing management game.
The game already has an established visual direction and art style. We are not looking for someone to create the art direction from scratch. Instead, we need an artist who can study reference artwork and consistently create new assets that match the existing style.
The work may include:
- Characters and boxer portraits
- Gym interiors and environments
- Furniture, equipment and props
- Building and room variations
- UI artwork and icons
- Other 2D game assets as development progresses
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong 2D illustration skills
- Can closely follow an existing art style
- Understands shape, perspective, lighting and color
- Can create clean assets suitable for use in a video game
- Communicates well and can follow detailed visual references
- Is interested in potentially working with us long-term
Game-art experience is preferred, but not required if your illustration portfolio demonstrates the right skills.
We will initially hire shortlisted artists for a **small paid test asset** so we can evaluate how well you can reproduce the game's established visual style. If the test goes well, there will be ongoing paid work.
Please also tell us:
1. Your expected hourly rate
2. How many hours per week you are available
3. What software you normally use (Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, etc.)
4. Whether you can provide layered/editable source files
5. Any previous game-art experience you have
We are especially interested in finding someone who would like to become a regular artist on the project rather than only completing a single commission.
Please include a link to your portfolio when applying. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
