Hiring: 3D Technical Animator / AI Video Creator — Long-Term Opportunity
Company: RoofReady Academy / Titan Roofing USA
Location: Remote — Philippines
Job Type: Freelance / Part-Time, with opportunity for long-term work
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and quality
About Us
We are a roofing and construction company based in Montana, USA, developing a new online training platform called RoofReady Academy.
Our goal is to create a large library of professional, animated training videos that teach roofing installation techniques, construction details, safety principles, quality control, and roofing business processes.
These videos will be sold to roofing companies throughout the United States to help train their employees.
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented 3D animator who can help us build this training library.
This is not a one-time video project. We want to establish a long-term working relationship with the right person and eventually produce hundreds of short training videos.
What You Will Create
You will produce professional 3D animated instructional videos, typically 3–7 minutes long.
Examples include:
* Proper kickout flashing installation.
* Step flashing installation.
* Ice and water shield installation.
* Asphalt shingle installation.
* Roof ventilation.
* Metal roofing installation.
* Commercial TPO and EPDM roofing systems.
* Common roofing installation mistakes.
* Roofing inspections and quality control.
Our videos should look like professional construction training animations, not cartoons.
We want realistic 3D roof models that can be rotated, zoomed in on, and separated into layers to demonstrate how roofing components work together.
We will provide technical guidance, scripts, and reference materials.
You do not need roofing experience, but you must be able to accurately follow construction drawings and technical instructions.
Required Skills
* Experience with Blender or similar 3D animation software.
* Ability to create realistic architectural and construction models.
* Ability to animate installation sequences and demonstrate how components fit together.
* Strong understanding of camera angles, lighting, and rendering.
* Video editing and post-production.
* Ability to add labels, arrows, captions, and visual explanations.
* Good written English communication.
* Ability to deliver editable project files.
Experience with AI video tools, AI narration, ElevenLabs, or architectural visualization is a plus.
Important: Reusable 3D Models
We want to develop a library of reusable roofing components.
For example, once you create a 3D asphalt shingle roof model, we should be able to reuse that model for multiple training videos.
Our goal is to create a consistent visual style and an efficient production process.
We are looking for someone who can help develop this system rather than creating every video from scratch.
First Paid Test Project
Our first video will be:
“Proper Kickout Flashing Installation”
The full video will be approximately five minutes long.
Before commissioning the complete video, we will hire a candidate to create a paid 15–20 second sample animation.
The sample should demonstrate:
1. A realistic asphalt shingle roof meeting an exterior wall.
2. Water flowing down the roof-wall intersection.
3. A close-up of the kickout flashing.
4. Water being redirected away from the wall.
5. Professional lighting, camera movement, and technical detail.
We will provide the technical references.
Accuracy is very important. The animation must follow the approved installation details.
What We Provide
* Video scripts.
* Scene-by-scene instructions.
* Roofing technical knowledge.
* Manufacturer installation references.
* Feedback and technical review.
* Consistent project assignments if the work meets our standards.
What We Expect
We value reliability, honesty, attention to detail, and communication.
You should be comfortable asking questions when instructions are unclear.
We prefer regular progress updates and the ability to review animation drafts before final rendering.
We are located in Montana, USA. You do not need to work US overnight hours, but some overlap for occasional meetings is helpful.
How to Apply
Please include:
1. Your experience with 3D modeling and animation.
2. Links to your best three animation projects.
3. Which software you use.
4. Whether you have experience with architectural, engineering, or construction animations.
5. Your experience using AI tools to speed up production.
6. Your hourly rate in USD.
7. Your estimated price to produce a five-minute technical 3D animation using reusable models.
8. Your estimated turnaround time.
9. Your weekly availability.
IMPORTANT: Begin your application with the words “RoofReady Animator” so we know you read the complete posting.
Also answer this question:
“How would you create reusable 3D roof models so we can efficiently produce 50–100 different roofing training videos without rebuilding everything from scratch?”
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with a new online education business.
Long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
