Job Overview:
We are seeking an LL.M. candidate or graduate with prior experience practicing U.S. law to join our team as a Law Clerk. We are moving quickly to fill this position and encourage qualified candidates to apply promptly.
The Law Clerk will support our attorneys with substantive legal research, drafting, case analysis, and litigation support. Candidates currently living outside the United States are welcome to apply.
Our practice focuses on commercial bankruptcy, creditors' rights, corporate law, commercial litigation, and post-confirmation matters. We represent creditors and official committees of unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings nationwide and pursue recoveries through claims analysis and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Research legal issues and prepare clear, well-supported memoranda.
Assist with motions, briefs, objections, and other court filings.
Review bankruptcy plans, disclosure statements, claims, contracts, and supporting records.
Assist with creditor recovery, claims analysis, and post-confirmation litigation.
Organize findings, track assignments, and communicate progress to the team.
Assist with federal bankruptcy proceedings, commercial disputes, and post-confirmation work.
Note: All assignments will be supervised by the firm's attorneys and tailored to the candidate's experience and admission status.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A first degree in law from the United States or another country, with a U.S. LL.M. completed or in progress.
Prior experience working as a U.S. lawyer, with practical experience handling U.S. legal matters. Please identify the U.S. jurisdiction or jurisdictions where you have been admitted, your current admission status, and the nature of your U.S. legal work.
Strong written English, legal research, analytical, and organizational skills.
The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Residence outside the United States is acceptable. The required U.S. legal experience concerns the work performed and professional background; candidates do not need to be living in the United States to apply.
Experience in civil or commercial litigation is valued; a background in corporate or commercial bankruptcy, creditors' rights, or post-confirmation work is preferred.
Applicants must include their LL.M. program and graduation date, jurisdictions of admission and current status, relevant U.S. legal experience (distinguished from legal experience in other countries), country of residence, time zone, availability during U.S. business hours, and earliest start date.
Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
