JOB OVERVIEW

We work closely with high-level business professionals—such as lawyers, insurance agents, and industry experts—to help them build strong personal brands and massive online followings through video content.

We are looking for an expert-level Video Editor to take raw, virtually recorded footage and transform it into highly engaging, polished explainer videos. In addition to long-form editing, you will be responsible for repurposing this content into high-performing short-form clips for LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.

Our ideal candidate is an absolute master at Descript, thrives on fast turnaround times, and knows exactly how to pace a video to maximize viewer retention.

What You Will Do

Long-Form Explainer Edits: Take virtually recorded talking-head footage and edit it into dynamic, engaging explainer videos.

Short-Form Repurposing: Extract the best moments from long-form videos and turn them into punchy, highly engaging Shorts/Reels optimized for LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.

Visual Storytelling: Use b-roll, text animations, sound design, and pacing to keep the audience hooked and make complex business topics enjoyable to watch.

Fast Execution: Maintain a streamlined workflow to deliver high-quality videos with a fast turnaround time.

Requirements

Expert in Descript: You must have advanced proficiency in Descript to quickly cut, refine, and polish videos.

Experience with Explainer Content: You understand how to edit educational/business content so that it remains entertaining and visually engaging.

Platform Expertise: You know what performs well on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok, and can adapt aspect ratios, captions, and pacing accordingly.

Style Matching: You should be able to replicate and build upon the editing styles seen in these examples:
