JOB OVERVIEW

## Project

I am the author of *Who Am I Without the Badge?*, a nonfiction book about career identity, professional transitions, leadership, and personal growth.

**Amazon book link:** ----------

I am looking for a proactive virtual assistant who can independently execute a low-cost, hands-off book-promotion campaign on my behalf. This is not just a research assignment. I want someone who can identify opportunities, prepare promotional materials, carry out approved activities, and document the results.

My priority is **zero-cost promotion first**. I am open to using AI tools to support research and content creation, provided all information is accurate, factual, and checked before publication.

## Responsibilities and deliverables

### 1. Identify relevant promotional opportunities

Find at least 20 legitimate opportunities to promote the book to English-speaking audiences interested in career development, leadership, personal growth, professional identity, and career transitions.

Include relevant:
- Book-promotion newsletters and websites.
- Book bloggers and reviewers.
- Podcasts and interview opportunities.
- Social media communities and creators.
- Career-development and leadership communities.
- Author groups, professional networks, and relevant online communities.
- Free directories, promotional submissions, and opportunities for guest articles.

Prioritize opportunities that can reach readers in the US, UK, Canada, and other relevant English-speaking markets.

### 2. Execute a zero-cost promotional campaign

Do not stop at creating a spreadsheet. Take action on the strongest opportunities.

- Submit the book to suitable free promotional directories and websites where permitted.
- Prepare and publish approved social media posts or community contributions where access and community rules allow.
- Contact relevant bloggers, podcasters, newsletter operators, and creators using personalized outreach.
- Identify opportunities for interviews, guest articles, author features, and legitimate recommendations.
- Prepare promotional copy, short descriptions, and other materials needed to make execution efficient.
- Use the Amazon book link consistently and verify that submitted links work.

Where an account, permission, author approval, or access is required, explain what is needed rather than pretending the task is complete.

### 3. Use AI intelligently and accurately

AI tools may be used for research, drafting, personalization, and organizing the campaign.

All claims about the book, author, audience, and promotional opportunities must be fact-checked. Do not invent credentials, testimonials, reviews, audience figures, or campaign results.

I can provide the book summary and other source materials needed to ensure the promotional copy accurately represents the book.

### 4. Maintain a live campaign tracker

Deliver a Google Sheet or Excel spreadsheet containing:

- Provider or opportunity name.
- Website and working submission/contact link.
- Country and audience profile.
- Why the opportunity fits this book.
- Cost, with free opportunities clearly identified.
- Eligibility and submission requirements.
- Action taken and date.
- Current status and any response received.
- Evidence of execution, including published URLs or screenshots.
- Next action and any assistance required from me.

Clearly distinguish completed activities from planned activities and pending responses.

### 5. Provide a final report

At the end of the project, provide:

- The 20 or more researched opportunities.
- A prioritized list of the five strongest opportunities.
- The activities actually completed.
- Direct links and screenshots proving execution where available.
- Replies received and outstanding follow-ups.
- A concise recommendation for the next steps based on the results.

## Strict operating rules

- Zero promotional spend by default.
- Do not purchase placements, advertisements, subscriptions, or services.
- Do not contact providers, publish content, or make commitments that require my approval until I have approved the relevant activity.
- You may independently execute free, permitted activities within the agreed scope once I have approved the campaign approach.
- No fake reviews, paid customer reviews, artificial engagement, manipulated purchases, guaranteed sales claims, or misleading promotion practices.
- Respect each platform's rules, privacy requirements, and anti-spam policies.
- Do not request my Amazon KDP password or other sensitive account credentials.
- Never claim an activity was completed without verifiable evidence.

## Budget and engagement

This is a one-time, fixed-price project with a maximum fee of $15 for the initial assignment.

There is no ongoing retainer. No additional fees or promotional expenditure are authorized without my written approval.

## Ideal candidate

You have strong written English, initiative, sound research skills, and experience in book marketing, creator outreach, digital promotion, or online research.

You are resourceful, organized, comfortable using AI tools responsibly, and able to execute work independently rather than simply provide recommendations.

Please explain briefly how you would approach the first seven days of this project and provide one example of similar work you have completed.
