JOB OVERVIEW

Hi, I run a gaming and internet culture commentary YouTube channel averaging 50 million views per month, and I'm looking for a talented video editor to join me long-term.

I'm hiring someone to take over editing my highly produced YouTube Shorts, typically 50–65 seconds long, with a target of approximately 30 Shorts per month.

My videos focus on gaming news, internet culture, controversies, and storytelling. I already have an established editing style, and I'm looking for someone who can learn and replicate it consistently while bringing their own creative instincts.

What you'll be doing

-Editing approximately 30 highly produced Shorts per month.

-Finding relevant gameplay footage, screenshots, developer statements, articles, memes, and other visual materials.

-Creatively matching visuals to narration to keep the story engaging from beginning to end.

-Highlighting important information in articles, screenshots, and other sources.

-Adding appropriate sound effects, comedic moments, and visual emphasis.

-Maintaining the established editing style and consistent quality across every video.

-Keeping Premiere Pro projects organized and editable.

Visual storytelling is extremely important. I'm looking for someone who understands how to make a story engaging through the visuals, rather than relying on flashy transitions or excessive effects.

What I'll provide

- Completed scripts

- Recorded talking-head footage and narration

- Key research links and references

- Existing Premiere Pro templates and assets

- Examples of completed videos

- Training and feedback to help you replicate my editing style

You won't need to come up with video topics or write scripts. Your primary responsibility is turning the provided material into engaging, polished Shorts.

Requirements

- Strong Adobe Premiere Pro skills

- Experience editing gaming, commentary, or storytelling Shorts

- Excellent English comprehension

- Ability to independently find relevant visual assets

- Strong sense of comedic timing, pacing, and storytelling

- Familiarity with gaming and internet culture

- Organized project management and reliable communication

- Ability to maintain consistent quality and meet deadlines

Project delivery

- Every completed video should include:

- A final exported video ready for upload

- An organized, fully editable Adobe Premiere Pro project

- Upon request, a consolidated project folder containing all necessary media assets to reopen and edit the project on another computer

Please include the word cheeseburger somewhere in your application so I know you've read the entire posting.

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete a paid test edit using footage, assets, and references that I provide.

Long-term opportunity

I'm looking for a reliable, long-term collaborator who can work closely with me as the channel continues growing.

I'll provide training, clear references, and regular feedback. There's also room for increased responsibilities and compensation as the channel grows.

Salary: $1,000–$1,200 USD/month, depending on experience and editing quality.
