About the role
You will keep our caregivers hired and scheduled. You will recruit and onboard new caregivers, and fill and manage shifts so every client is covered.
This role suits someone who stays calm when a caregiver calls off at the last minute, and who follows up with every applicant, every time.
What you will do
Scheduling (daily)
• Match caregivers to client shifts based on skills, location and availability.
• Keep every client’s schedule fully covered: handle call-offs, last-minute changes and shift swaps.
• Answer calls and texts from caregivers, clients and families about schedules, with patience and professionalism.
• Enter and update schedules, caregiver records and client records in our home care software (SwyftOps).
• Review and close out the previous day’s shifts so visit records are complete.
Recruiting and onboarding (daily and weekly)
• Post and refresh caregiver job ads each week on Indeed and other job sites.
• Contact applicants by phone, text and email, screen them, and schedule interviews.
• Follow up with missed and inactive applicants.
• Walk new hires through applications, background checks and hiring paperwork.
• Every Friday, check that each caregiver’s required documents (certifications, health records, licenses) are received, accurate and current.
• Track recruiting results and work toward a monthly hiring goal.
How we measure success
• Every client shift covered, with call-offs filled quickly.
• New caregivers hired and fully onboarded each month, against a monthly goal.
• Caregiver files complete and current.
