40 hours per week | Long-term position |

INTEROPA Holidays, a London-based travel company, is looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to take substantial hands-on responsibility for our accounting operations.
This is not a basic bookkeeping or data-entry role. We need an experienced accountant who can personally manage a significant workload, investigate discrepancies, solve accounting problems and take accounts through to a clean, reconciled and review-ready position.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- High-value supplier reconciliations
- Client receipts and payment allocations
- Supplier payment posting and reconciliation
- Bank and company credit-card reconciliations
- Staff expenses and overhead accounting
- Commission accounting
- General Ledger and Trial Balance review
- Journals, accruals and prepayments
- Intercompany accounting
- Month-end close
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Management accounts preparation
- P&L, margin and variance analysis
- Aged debtor/creditor analysis
- Cash-flow reporting and forecasting
- VAT preparation and working papers
- P11D/year-end working-paper support
- Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
- Supporting the wider Finance team
- Maintaining strong controls and audit trails
We use Tourplan NX. Previous Tourplan experience is not required; full training will be provided.
What We Need
- 5+ years' strong hands-on accounting experience
- Excellent double-entry accounting knowledge
- Strong AP, AR and General Ledger experience
- Strong reconciliation and month-end experience
- Management accounts experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Confident with journals, accruals and prepayments
- Able to investigate discrepancies independently
- Able to manage a substantial accounting workload
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and spoken English
- Comfortable learning new accounting systems
CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification/part-qualification is advantageous but not essential if you have strong practical experience.

If the Trial Balance looks wrong, find out why.
If a payment is incorrectly allocated, trace and correct it.
If information is missing, identify exactly what is needed.
