JOB OVERVIEW

Senior Vue 3 Developer — Technical SEO & Multilingual Website Cleanup

We are looking for an experienced freelance developer to review, fix and test the technical SEO setup of InfoAlanya, a multilingual tourism platform.

Duration: Flexible, potentially a few days to several weeks. The exact scope and duration will depend on the initial assessment and the work required.
Availability: Full-time during the agreed project period.
Location: Remote
Start: Immediately.

We need someone who can make this project their main work priority, with consistent availability and focused working time. Please apply only if your other commitments will not interfere with delivery or communication.

About the project

Our website offers tours, airport transfers, property listings, local services and travel guides in seven languages: English, Turkish, German, Russian, Danish, Norwegian Bokmål and Swedish.

We already have a frontend developer and a backend developer. Our frontend developer does not specialise in SEO, so we need someone who can independently identify technical issues, implement fixes and verify the results while collaborating with our team.

This is a hands-on technical cleanup project. We need someone who can both diagnose and fix issues.

Our team is currently developing an article publishing feature in our admin panel, expected to be ready within the next few days. We will create and manage articles through admin. Your role is to help ensure the technical SEO and publishing flow work correctly, alongside fixing issues across the existing website.

What we need you to do

Review the existing code and public website, identify technical SEO issues and prioritise fixes.

Fix inconsistent language URLs and ensure the URL determines the displayed language, including for visitors who are not logged in.

Ensure navigation, language switching and shared links use the correct language URLs.

Review and implement translated slugs where needed, coordinating with our backend developer.

Preserve existing links with appropriate permanent redirects when URLs change.

Check and fix page titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags, hreflang, Open Graph tags and relevant structured data.

Check robots directives, HTTP status codes and sitemap coverage so public pages can be crawled and indexed correctly.

Review our build-time prerendering and sitemap generation.

Verify that articles created or updated through the upcoming admin feature appear correctly in the public HTML, with the correct language URLs and metadata, and are reflected in the sitemap.

Ensure drafts and unpublished language versions are not publicly exposed or included in the sitemap.

Identify significant performance and Core Web Vitals issues and address them within the agreed scope.

Test representative pages across all seven languages, including direct links, page refreshes and logged-out access.

Add relevant Vitest tests and update Playwright smoke tests where your changes affect existing flows.

Verify that changes do not break the other portals or existing translations.

Document the changes and provide a concise handover, including any remaining issues.

One application serves the public website plus admin, vendor, affiliate and driver portals. Changes must follow the existing conventions and be scoped and tested carefully.

Required experience

Senior-level experience building and maintaining production Vue 3 applications.

Proven technical SEO implementation experience on JavaScript websites.

Multilingual routing, translated slugs, hreflang and canonical URLs.

Prerendering or server-side rendering.

URL migrations and redirects.

Metadata, Open Graph tags and structured data.

Performance analysis and Core Web Vitals.

Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse and a crawler such as Screaming Frog.

Git and experience working safely in a shared codebase.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with our existing developers.

Clear communication in English.

Full-time availability and the ability to prioritise this project during the agreed engagement.

Relevant, demonstrable experience matters more than the “senior” title alone.

Optional: UI/UX and design skills

UI/UX or web design skills are a welcome bonus, but are not required for this project. If you also have strong design skills, there may be opportunities to help with website design and user experience in a separate future project.

Expected outcome

A tested, consistent technical SEO setup across the agreed public page types, with the highest-priority issues fixed and a verified publishing flow from admin to the public website.

We will start with a short assessment, then agree on priorities, estimated hours and scope before proceeding with implementation. This will be followed by verification and a concise handover to our team.
