About ABL Fitness
ABL Fitness is a growing nonprofit fitness and wellness organization based in Wellesley, Massachusetts. We provide adaptive and inclusive fitness programs for children, teens, adults, and older adults, including individuals with neurodivergence, disabilities, and chronic health conditions.
Our work goes beyond exercise. We help athletes build strength, independence, confidence, and belonging through individualized, evidence-based coaching.
We have incredible stories to tell. We're looking for someone who knows how to tell them.
The Opportunity
We're seeking a creative, proactive social media manager who is an exceptional storyteller and strong writer, not simply someone who edits videos or schedules posts.
You'll turn athlete achievements, organizational milestones, educational content, and real-world outcomes into compelling stories that help us:
Reach local families and increase enrollment in our programs.
Connect with healthcare professionals, donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
Build recognition of our READY ABL Methodology and promote The IEP of Fitness podcast.
Our team provides raw photos, videos, and stories. We also have a dedicated podcast video editor who produces videos and Shorts. Your responsibility is to develop the content strategy, create engaging stories, coordinate existing assets, and manage distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a monthly content calendar across Instagram,
Write compelling, platform-specific captions, hooks, headlines, and calls to action.
Create engaging Reels, short videos, graphics, and carousels from content provided by our team.
Develop thoughtful LinkedIn content for healthcare professionals, donors, sponsors, and partners.
Promote our podcast and translate the READY ABL Methodology into accessible educational content.
Guide our team on which photos, videos, and athlete stories to capture.
Schedule and publish content, maintain consistent branding, and track results.
Provide a monthly performance report with recommendations.
Expected Monthly Deliverables
Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with an anticipated monthly content package of:
6–8 Reels/short-form videos for Instagram,
4–6 LinkedIn posts featuring athlete impact, organizational growth, and thought leadership.
4–6 additional posts including graphics, carousels, and educational content.
4–6 podcast promotional posts using content produced by our existing video editor.
2–4 READY ABL educational posts, which may overlap with other content.
Weekly Google Business Profile updates.
Monthly content calendar, two virtual planning meetings, and performance reporting.
Content can be repurposed across platforms. We value quality, consistency, and meaningful engagement over volume and welcome candidates' recommendations on a realistic content package.
Who We're Looking For
Exceptional English writing and storytelling skills.
Proven experience managing social media for a brand or organization.
Strong understanding of Instagram,
Ability to create engaging content from existing photos and videos.
Strategic thinker who can work independently and bring creative ideas.
Experience with Canva, CapCut, scheduling tools, and social media analytics.
Ability to communicate respectfully and authentically about people with disabilities.
Bonus: Experience with nonprofits, healthcare, fitness, podcast promotion, SEO, or Google Ad Grants. Google Ads campaign management is not required but may be considered as a separately scoped service.
AI is NOT allowed for these responses. It will be allowed and encouraged for doing your work, but we need to assess your human capabilities first. Using it will result in immediate disqualification.
