Livily is a corporate travel marketplace connecting business travelers with professionally managed vacation rentals. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to partner directly with the CEO and lead financial strategy, reporting, cash management, and the finance team as the business scales.
This role combines executive judgment with detailed financial execution. You should be comfortable building financial models, reviewing reconciliations, improving accounting processes, and turning financial data into clear business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast.
• Lead timely monthly closes and accurate profit-and-loss, balance-sheet, and cash-flow reporting across multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidated reporting.
• Oversee the accounting team, external accountants, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and reconciliations.
• Build management dashboards tracking revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, operating expenses, working capital, and performance against budget.
• Improve booking-to-cash reconciliation across customer collections, payment processors, booking channels, refunds, commissions, and property-manager payouts.
• Strengthen revenue-recognition processes, internal controls, payment approvals, financial SOPs, and audit readiness.
• Evaluate channel economics, pricing, marketing spend, hiring plans, and growth investments; explain the financial implications to leadership.
• Manage banking relationships and financing analysis, and prepare lender, board, and investor reporting when needed.
• Coordinate U.S. tax and compliance work with external CPAs and advisors.
• Develop the finance team, establish clear ownership and deadlines, and use automation to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 5+ years leading a finance function as CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or equivalent.
• Strong experience supporting U.S. businesses, with working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
• Proven ability to manage cash flow, build integrated financial models, and deliver reliable forecasts and executive reporting.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and strong QuickBooks Online experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong business judgment, and confidence challenging assumptions with evidence.
• A hands-on approach, high attention to detail, and a record of improving accountability and financial processes.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Travel, hospitality, vacation rentals, online marketplaces, SaaS, or other transaction-heavy businesses.
• Payment processor reconciliation, chargebacks, partner payouts, and marketplace unit economics.
• Fundraising support, due diligence, lender reporting, or acquisition analysis.
• Business intelligence tools and finance automation.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
• Remote, Philippines-based.
• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Regular overlap with U.S. business hours is required; exact schedule to be agreed.
• Reports directly to the CEO.
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
FIRST 90 DAYS
• Assess financial reporting, cash visibility, close processes, and internal controls.
• Establish a reliable cash forecast and a clear monthly reporting package.
• Identify priority reconciliation issues, margin opportunities, and process improvements, with owners and deadlines.
