JOB OVERVIEW

Operations & QA Specialist (YouTube Shorts)
Compensation: $50.00 USD/month base retainer + $25.00 USD/month performance bonus (awarded for 100% on-time scheduling, zero missed release slots, zero QA oversights, and accurate tracker updates).

Time Commitment: 4 hours/week (Fixed shifts: Wednesday & Sunday, 20:00 – 22:00 GMT+8). No daytime check-ins required.

Role Overview
We operate a high-volume, faceless short-form YouTube media network. We are seeking a meticulous, assertive Operations & Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to manage video uploads, enforce production deadlines, execute rigorous quality control, and maintain our master release tracker. You will serve as the operational gatekeeper—rejecting substandard edits with exact timestamps and ensuring our release pipeline runs like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities
1. Pipeline Enforcement & Deadline Tracking
Monitor editor batch deliveries (7 videos per batch) against strict Wednesday and Sunday 20:00 GMT+8 deadlines.

Enforce contract late-fee penalties for missed deadlines and immediately escalate chronic delays to management.

2. The 5-Point Technical QA Gate
Review every submitted .mp4 file at 1.0x speed. Reject non-compliant edits with timestamped feedback based on:

Visual Authenticity: Zero warped AI visuals, distorted hands, or melting anatomy. Only authentic real-world footage or high-end 3D graphics permitted.

Canvas & Resolution: Native 1440x2560 (9:16) or 2048x1536 (3:4). Zero compression blur, letterboxing/pillarboxing, or third-party watermarks.

Pacing & Sync: Initial visual cut within the first 1.5 seconds, cuts every 2–3 seconds maximum, and subtitles locked 1:1 to audio cadence.

Safe Zone Formatting: Captions placed strictly within vertical Shorts safe zones using approved brand fonts and colors.

Outro CTA: Final 3–5 seconds must display the interactive click-trigger animation ("My likes turn into [XXX]") precisely aligned with the YouTube Shorts like button.

3. Uploads, Metadata & Scheduling
Upload Setup: Upload approved cuts to YouTube Studio and set category to People & Blogs.

Metadata: Craft curiosity-hook titles under 60 characters with selective capitalization, double punctuation (?? / !!), and two terminal emojis. Leave description blank.

Monetization & Linking: Complete ad suitability self-certification ("None of the above") for instant green monetization icons. Set the Related Video element to the latest published Short.

Release Scheduling (GMT+8):

Slot 1 (Lunch Peak): 11:30 GMT+8

Slot 2 (Evening Prime): 19:30 GMT+8 (or 21:30 GMT+8 for Sunday batches)

4. Tracker Maintenance & Channel Protection
Update the master Google Sheet: set Quality Status to Passed (Green) and tick the Posting Status checkbox [✔] once scheduled.

Emergency Protocol: Execute an immediate Delete Forever on any upload flagged with an 18+ age restriction, Community Guidelines strike, or red monetization lockout (excluding standard regional blocks like Russia).

Requirements
Proven track record managing YouTube Studio (metadata, monetization self-certification, timezone-accurate scheduling).

Sharp technical eye for visual artifacts, compression noise, frame drops, and audio clipping.

Strict operational discipline updating Google Sheets production trackers.

Assertive communication style—comfortable rejecting subpar freelance work objectively and firmly.

High-performance PC/Mac setup capable of playing back 2.5K/4K vertical video smoothly without stutter.

How to Apply
To confirm attention to detail, start your response with the word "BLUE" as the very first word.

In your message, provide:

A brief summary of your direct experience with YouTube Studio and short-form video QA.

A specific example of a time you held an editor or contractor accountable to quality standards or deadlines.

Confirmation of your experience using Google Sheets trackers in active production workflows.

Explicit confirmation that you are available every Wednesday and Sunday from 20:00 to 22:00 GMT+8, and can communicate with 2-3 editors during the stated hours.
