About the Role
We are looking for a creative, reliable, and detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor & Social Media Manager to run two daily content brands:
1) Personal Brand & Lifestyle: vlog-style content, gym/fitness, personal care, humor, and daily life.
2) Niche Pet Brand (British Shorthairs): cute cat content, feeding and play routines, vet checkups, storytelling, advice, and pet trends centered around two British Shorthair cats.
If you understand short-form video pacing (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), stay current on pet and lifestyle trends, and know how to drive organic engagement, this role is for you.
Pay: $4.00 - $5.00/hour + performance bonuses and incentives. Opportunities for performance-based promotions and pay increases.
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours/day. Flexible hours can be aligned with posting schedules and discussion time.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Content Creation
- Edit short-form videos daily using CapCut or DaVinci Resolve, optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Add clean, engaging subtitles, sound effects, trending audio, and high-retention cuts.
- Brainstorm new content ideas, viral formats, and storytelling angles with the account owner for both accounts.
Account & Engagement Management
- Like, comment, and interact with relevant pet accounts daily to build community presence.
- Identify and follow relevant creators and accounts in the cat/pet and lifestyle/gym niches.
- Monitor and reply to comments and direct messages (DMs) to boost engagement.
- Write catchy captions and research hashtags, keywords, and audio trends before publishing.
Publishing & Scheduling
- Schedule or post finished videos at peak engagement hours across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Organize raw footage, finished edits, and content calendars in shared drives (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with CapCut and/or DaVinci Resolve (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or Canva for thumbnails is a plus).
- Pet/cat niche knowledge: cat terminology, behavior culture (e.g. "making biscuits," "zoomies," "blep"), and pet video trends.
- Lifestyle/personal brand intuition for gym, vlogging, personal care, and humor content.
- Strong ability to spot viral audio, templates, and storytelling trends early.
- Fluent English and clear, open daily communication.
- High-speed, stable internet and a computer that can handle video editing efficiently.
