JOB OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY

Support a construction business by preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation for proposed projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
2. Prepare quantity take-offs and estimate material, labour and subcontractor costs.
3. Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
4. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, estimates and tender submissions.
5. Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential cost risks.
6. Update pricing databases and assist with variations and revised estimates.
7. Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Previous experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
2. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
3. Proficiency in Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift or CostX.
4. Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
5. Australian construction experience preferred.
