JOB OVERVIEW

Project Type: Fixed-Price Freelance Project
Project Budget: $500 USD
Payment Terms: Payment upon successful resolution and verification
Potential Opportunity: Full-Time Position Upon Successful Completion

Project Overview

We are looking for a highly technical, resourceful, and experienced IT specialist to diagnose and resolve a complex web application access issue.

The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in networking, server infrastructure, VPN technologies, IP address analysis, Linux administration, and remote-access configurations. We need someone who can independently investigate the root cause, develop a reliable and secure solution, and demonstrate that the issue has been successfully resolved.

This is a results-oriented freelance project intended for someone with genuine technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose the root cause of geographic, IP-based, and network-related access restrictions.

Investigate public IP address classification, DNS resolution, routing, connectivity, and network configurations.

Evaluate VPN configurations, VPS infrastructure, remote desktop solutions, and other relevant technologies.

Determine whether hosting-provider IP ranges, server locations, network policies, or browser configurations contribute to the issue.

Identify the most effective, stable, and secure technical solution.

Implement and test the agreed solution in an authorized environment.

Verify successful access using an approved testing method.

Provide a concise technical handover covering the root cause, implemented solution, configuration, limitations, and ongoing maintenance requirements.

Required Technical Expertise

Applicants should have demonstrable experience in the following areas:

Advanced networking and TCP/IP troubleshooting.

VPN technologies, routing, DNS, and public IP reputation or classification analysis.

Linux server administration, particularly Ubuntu.

VPS deployment, configuration, and remote-access infrastructure.

Browser diagnostics and web application troubleshooting.

Network security, firewall rules, access-control policies, and diagnostic tools.

Cloud infrastructure and remote desktop environments.

Root-cause analysis for complex connectivity and access issues.

Experience troubleshooting legitimate geographic access restrictions and distinguishing between infrastructure-related issues and application-level access policies is a strong advantage.

Project Deliverables

The successful freelancer must provide:

Root Cause Analysis: A clear explanation of why the access issue is occurring, supported by technical findings.

Implemented Solution: A reliable, secure, and technically sound solution that complies with the platform's applicable access policies.

Successful Verification: A demonstration that the issue has been resolved using an authorized test account or approved testing method.

Technical Documentation: A brief handover documenting the configuration, troubleshooting steps, and implemented changes.

Maintenance Recommendations: An explanation of any limitations, recurring infrastructure costs, subscription requirements, or future maintenance needs.

Completion will be assessed against these agreed deliverables, rather than simply the completion of troubleshooting attempts or the provision of recommendations.

Compensation and Payment Terms

Fixed Project Fee: $500 USD

Payment will be released only after:

The underlying issue has been successfully resolved.
The solution has been demonstrated and verified against the agreed acceptance criteria.
All required deliverables and technical documentation have been provided.
Any additional hosting, software, VPS, or subscription expenses must be discussed and approved in advance. These costs are separate from the project fee and must not be incurred without prior authorization.
Applicants must be comfortable working under a results-based arrangement with clearly defined completion criteria.

Potential Full-Time Opportunity

This project may serve as an initial engagement to evaluate the freelancer's technical proficiency, analytical thinking, reliability, communication, and ability to solve complex IT problems independently.
A successful candidate may be offered an opportunity to join our company in a full-time IT position, depending on project performance, business requirements, and mutual agreement.

We are interested in building a long-term working relationship with someone who can contribute to our technical operations beyond this initial assignment.

How to Apply

Please include the following information in your proposal:

Technical Background: Briefly describe your relevant experience in networking, VPNs, VPS infrastructure, Linux administration, and web application troubleshooting.

Relevant Projects: Provide examples of similar technical issues you have diagnosed and resolved. Explain your role and the outcome.

Diagnostic Approach: Outline how you would investigate this issue, identify the root cause, and determine the most appropriate solution.

Estimated Timeline: Indicate how long you expect the initial diagnosis and implementation to take.

Acceptance of Terms: Confirm that you accept the fixed $500 USD project fee, payable upon successful completion and verification of the agreed deliverables.

Please do not include confidential client information in your examples. Redacted technical reports or other evidence of previous work are welcome.

Final Note

We are looking for someone who is genuinely technically proficient, resourceful, analytical, discreet, and capable of working independently.

The successful candidate should be able to move beyond basic troubleshooting, identify the actual cause of the problem, and deliver a solution that is reliable, secure, maintainable, and compliant with the platform's access policies.

If you have the technical expertise and confidence to take on this challenge, we welcome your proposal.
