Codes Health is a well-funded, fast-growing US startup building the modern platform for medical records retrieval. We work with law firms and specialty healthcare providers to get records faster, with zero errors.

BEFORE YOU APPLY
As the first step in our process, we ask all applicants to send a short video recording (2–3 minutes max) answering the following three prompts:

1. Tell us about yourself — what kind of work you've done before, and why you're interested in this role.
2. Tell us about a mistake you made at work. What happened and what did you do about it?
3. Tell us about a time you improved a process at work. What did you change, and what was the result?

Applications without a video answering the 3 questions will not be reviewed.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Records Processing is the quality check between the provider and the customer. When records arrive, you confirm they are complete, correct, and ready to deliver. When something is missing or wrong, you send it back to retrieval with clear instructions. You also review the AI-generated summaries that turn raw records into customer-ready output.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Review records as they arrive and confirm they are complete: correct patient, requested dates of service covered, and every requested record type present (medical, billing, imaging, and others)
• Check that affidavits and certifications are present, signed, and match the records they accompany
• Catch problems before the customer does: wrong patient, missing dates of service, duplicate or unreadable pages, billing records that don't match the medical records
• Return incomplete or incorrect records to retrieval with specific notes on exactly what is missing and what the provider needs to send
• Run and review AI extractions and summaries so the final output is accurate and customer-ready
• Organize, label, and stage documents for final delivery
• Flag providers who repeatedly send incomplete sets and suggest process improvements

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Records move from received to delivery-ready quickly; your queue doesn't age
• Zero customer rework — nothing is delivered with the wrong patient, missing dates, or a bad affidavit
• Your return notes to retrieval are specific enough that the fix is right the first time
• You're spotting patterns and surfacing them, not just clearing the queue

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong English proficiency — written and spoken (required)
• Strong attention to detail — comfortable reading through long medical and billing documents and catching what is off
• Able to work carefully at volume without cutting corners
• Clear, specific written communication — your notes tell a teammate exactly what to fix
• Organized and reliable — able to manage a steady queue without letting anything slip
• Quick to learn new tools and software workflows
• Ownership mindset — you follow through until the job is done
• Prior experience in medical records, medical billing or coding, healthcare admin, or legal document review is a plus but not required

WHY CODES HEALTH - Our Website: ----------
• YC-backed, well-funded, generating revenue and growing fast
• Remote, full-time role
• High-impact position with real visibility into a growing US company
