Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist
US Construction & Restaurant Companies

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, and results-driven Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to support multiple US-based businesses in the commercial construction and restaurant industries.

Our companies include:

ADEP Group: A commercial specialty contractor specializing in demolition, asbestos abatement, and framing.

Sevmar Brands: A multi-location restaurant, hospitality, and food retail group.

Our primary goal is to **reduce purchasing costs while maintaining quality, reliability, and efficient operations.**

We are not looking for someone who simply places orders. We need someone who independently researches suppliers, negotiates competitive pricing, identifies alternatives, and continuously finds opportunities to save money. We like to order ahead of time on alibaba

### Key Responsibilities

**Construction Procurement**
- Source competitive pricing for demolition, asbestos abatement, and framing materials.
- Research suppliers for construction tools, PPE, equipment, consumables, and jobsite supplies.
- Compare pricing for equipment rentals, scaffolding, dumpsters, and other construction services.
- Request and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate discounts, delivery costs, payment terms, and supplier agreements.
- Evaluate product specifications, availability, freight costs, and lead times.
- Identify alternative vendors and cost-saving opportunities.

**Restaurant & Hospitality Purchasing**
- Research and compare food distributors, ingredients, beverages, packaging, uniforms, cleaning supplies, and restaurant equipment.
- Identify lower-cost alternatives that meet existing quality standards.
- Negotiate supplier pricing and volume discounts.
- Compare vendor pricing across multiple restaurant locations.
- Monitor supplier price increases and identify opportunities for savings.
- Research restaurant equipment, furnishings, and operational supplies.

**Strategic Sourcing & Cost Analysis**
- Analyze existing vendor pricing and purchasing history.
- Obtain competitive quotes and prepare detailed comparisons.
- Build and maintain supplier databases and price comparison spreadsheets.
- Identify opportunities for consolidated purchasing and bulk discounts.
- Track historical pricing and supplier performance.
- Prepare weekly cost-saving reports and recommendations.
- Calculate potential savings based on comparable specifications, delivered costs, and purchasing volumes.

**Purchasing Administration**
- Maintain accurate vendor records, quotations, and purchasing documentation.
- Follow up with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers and restaurant management.
- Develop purchasing SOPs, approval workflows, and vendor comparison templates.
- Organize purchasing records using Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.

### Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience working with US suppliers and vendors strongly preferred.
- Construction materials or restaurant purchasing experience preferred.
- Strong supplier research and negotiation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently identify and present cost-saving opportunities.
- Comfortable communicating with US vendors and working US Eastern Time hours.
- Highly proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented.

The ideal candidate does not accept the first price quoted. They proactively investigate alternatives, negotiate better terms, compare total delivered costs, and recommend improvements.

**Success will be measured by verified cost savings, purchasing accuracy, supplier reliability, and proactive follow-through.**

All purchase orders, contracts, vendor approvals, and financial commitments will remain subject to authorized US management approval.
