ABOUT JKB WHOLESALE
JKB Wholesale is a Texas-based business sourcing wholesale products for resale on Amazon in the United States. We’re looking for an experienced researcher who can independently analyze supplier catalogs and provide accurate, well-supported recommendations.
We value honest communication, careful research and a respectful working relationship. Hours and responsibilities may increase as the business grows and sufficient work becomes available.
THE ROLE
Your initial focus will be screening supplier price lists, verifying promising products and maintaining an organized research spreadsheet. We provide our criteria, reporting format and approval process. You should already understand Amazon wholesale research.
Main responsibilities:
• Efficiently screen large supplier catalogs using bulk tools and spreadsheets, followed by manual verification.
• Match supplier products to Amazon listings, verifying UPC, size, variation, pack count and case quantities.
• Review Keepa history, estimated demand, Buy Box behavior, competition and Amazon presence.
• Calculate both FBA and FBM profitability, including product cost, freight, postage, packaging, prep and relevant Amazon fees.
• Flag supplier minimums, marketplace restrictions, expiration concerns and unresolved questions.
• Record supporting links, calculations, recommendations and reasons for rejection.
Accurate rejection of unsuitable products is valuable. We do not require a guaranteed number of profitable leads.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Hands-on U.S. Amazon wholesale catalog analysis.
• Experience using a bulk catalog screening tool, such as ScanUnlimited, Seller Assistant’s Price List Analyzer or a comparable tool.
• Strong Keepa analysis and accurate product matching.
• Understanding of FBA/FBM economics and case-to-sellable-unit calculations.
• Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, filtering and lookups.
• Ability to work independently and explain your decisions.
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
• Finding and qualifying local/regional wholesalers, national distributors and brands that accept Amazon-only retailers.
• Supplier outreach and organized follow-up.
• SellerAmp, AZInsight, SmartScout or similar research tools.
• Understanding of MAP policies, brand restrictions, sourcing documentation and Amazon eligibility checks.
COMMUNICATION AND WORK HABITS
• Clear written English and attention to detail.
• Reliable progress updates and agreed deadlines.
• Accurate time records showing tasks completed and time spent.
• Willingness to flag uncertainty, ask necessary questions and report mistakes promptly.
• Reliable computer and internet connection.
Research tools and authorized access will be agreed before starting. Please distinguish tools you have used from subscriptions you currently own or are authorized to use.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND EXCLUSIVITY
Our private supplier information, pricing, catalogs, curated leads and research must not be shared, sold, published or reused for yourself or other clients. No subcontracting or unauthorized sharing of access.
Written confidentiality terms are required before private materials are provided.
Exclusivity is preferred but not required. Other work must not compromise confidentiality, create conflicts or involve billing multiple clients for the same working time. Any exclusive arrangement, compensation, guaranteed hours and start date must be agreed in writing.
All purchases and supplier commitments require owner approval.
PAY AND SELECTION
• $3–6 USD/hour, depending on demonstrated ability, plus performance bonuses.
• Higher rates may be considered based on proven performance and a strong track record.
• Brief interview followed by a paid assessment of up to four hours.
• A paid 20–30-minute walkthrough to explain your work.
• Assessment and walkthrough rates agreed beforehand; payment does not depend on being hired.
• Weekly payment initially.
• Performance bonus criteria agreed in writing.
• Potential for increased hours as performance, business growth and available work justify.
HOW TO APPLY
Begin your application with “WHOLESALE ANALYST” and include:
1. Your relevant U.S. wholesale catalog experience, including what you personally handled.
2. Bulk screening tools you have used and approximate catalog sizes.
3. Your requested hourly rate, weekly availability and current commitments.
4. Whether you operate an Amazon business, sell leads or work through an agency or subcontractors.
5. Which research subscriptions you currently own or are authorized to use.
6. A short explanation of how you detect pack-count mismatches and evaluate an unstable Keepa chart.
An authorized, redacted sample is welcome but optional. Do not submit confidential client work or assume removing supplier names makes it shareable. Applicants without a shareable sample can demonstrate their skills using our assessment materials.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview and paid assessment. References may be requested with your permission.
