JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Research Assistant who can research and evaluate AI tools, software libraries, APIs, platforms, and technologies to help identify the best solutions for different business and product requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a good technical understanding and be able to take a high-level or rough requirement, understand what is needed, research the technical aspects, and convert it into a clear, well-structured, development-ready ClickUp task that can be directly assigned to the relevant team.

Key Responsibilities

Research AI tools, software libraries, APIs, frameworks, and third-party services.
Evaluate the technical feasibility of ideas and requirements.
Compare different tools and technologies based on features, performance, scalability, cost, complexity, and ease of integration.
Research and compare different libraries and recommend the most suitable option.
Perform cost-effectiveness and pricing analysis for different solutions.
Identify technical requirements, dependencies, limitations, and potential risks.
Research existing solutions and identify whether an existing tool can be used instead of building from scratch.
Provide clear, well-structured technical recommendations backed by reliable research.
Take rough requirements or instructions and convert them into complete, clear, and actionable ClickUp tasks that are ready to be assigned to the relevant team.
Ensure tasks include the necessary context, requirements, expected behaviour, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and other relevant details.
Break down larger requirements into smaller actionable tasks where required.
Stay updated with new AI tools, technologies, libraries, and automation solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Good understanding of software development and web technologies.
Understanding of APIs, SDKs, libraries, and third-party integrations.
Basic understanding of frontend, backend, databases, and software architecture.
Strong technical research and analytical skills.
Ability to understand a requirement and translate it into a technical solution.
Ability to compare technologies and make practical recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to write clear and structured technical documentation and ClickUp tasks.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI/LLM tools and APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude.
Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, or Python.
Experience with automation tools and SaaS platforms.
Familiarity with GitHub, ClickUp, and cloud platforms.
Previous experience in technical research, product analysis, business analysis, or software development.
