About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Ad Designer who knows how to create scroll-stopping static ads that drive clicks, leads, and sales.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that great ad design isn't just about aesthetics. It's about creating compelling visuals, persuasive messaging, and high-performing creatives backed by actual campaign results.

You'll be responsible for developing static ad creatives primarily for Meta (Facebook and Instagram), working with existing clients across e-commerce and service-based industries.

We're looking for someone who can confidently explain what makes an ad perform, why certain creative approaches work, and how to use performance data to improve future designs.

This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who has already created successful advertising campaigns and can demonstrate measurable results from their work.

Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-performing static ads for Meta (Facebook and Instagram), including Feed, Stories, and Reels placements.
- Transform creative briefs, customer research, and product reviews into compelling advertising concepts, hooks, and offers.
- Develop multiple creative variations to test different headlines, visuals, layouts, and messaging approaches.
- Collaborate with the team to review campaign performance metrics, including CTR, CPA, ROAS, and thumb-stop rates.
- Use advertising performance insights to refine existing creatives and develop new concepts.
- Research competitor advertisements and identify successful creative approaches using the Meta Ad Library.
- Maintain a collection of effective advertising examples, creative concepts, and industry trends.
- Contribute creative ideas and sample concepts for prospective client pitches.
- Produce high volumes of quality static creatives while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing static ads for Meta, preferably for e-commerce or service-based businesses.
- Ideally 2–4 years of freelance experience creating advertising creatives for different clients.
- Proven track record of designing static ads that have generated measurable results, including sales, leads, or positive advertising returns.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience with different types of static advertisements, including:
- Product-focused ads
- Promotional and offer-based ads
- Testimonial and social proof ads
- Native-style or lo-fi creatives
- Product comparison ads
- Carousel advertisements
- Strong understanding of direct-response advertising, persuasive copywriting, creative hooks, and conversion-focused design.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or Canva Pro.
- Comfortable using AI image-generation tools to support the creative process.
- Ability to interpret advertising performance metrics such as CTR, CPA, and ROAS and apply insights to future designs.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality creative assets within tight deadlines.
- Reliable internet connection and availability for some overlap with Australian (AEST) business hours.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience working with a performance marketing agency.
- Basic motion design skills to transform static advertisements into simple animated creatives.
- Experience developing advertising creatives for Australian, US, or UK markets.
- Familiarity with Google Ads creative requirements and advertising formats.

Work Setup
- Location: Fully Remote
- Employment Type: Part-time or Full-Time
