About the Role
I’m looking for a proactive, resourceful Virtual Assistant for personal and business tasks. Given a goal, you figure out what needs to be done, research the best approach, and execute without step-by-step direction. When you hit a problem, you investigate and recommend a solution rather than wait for instructions.
Responsibilities
Manage schedules, appointments, reminders, and follow-ups.
Research options and make recommendations.
Coordinate projects, vendors, and administrative tasks.
Organize documents,
Use AI tools such as ChatGPT to work efficiently.
Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English.
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with computers, online tools, and AI.
Trustworthy with confidential information.
Previous Virtual Assistant or Executive Assistant experience preferred.
Application Instructions — Please Read Carefully
Applications that do not follow these instructions will be disqualified.
1. Apply Points
Use exactly 9 Apply Points (AP). No more and no less.
2. Answer This Question
Briefly describe a problem you solved independently without step-by-step instructions: what it was, how you approached it, and the outcome.
3. Complete Three Tasks
Task 1: Restaurant Research
I need to take a business client out for Italian food in San Ramon, California. Recommend two restaurants that suit this occasion, not simply the two highest rated. For each, provide:
Name, address, and official website.
Type of Italian food and atmosphere.
Approximate price per person.
Whether takeout is available.
Why it suits a business client.
Then state your preferred choice and why.
Task 2: Scheduling & Coordination
You’ve been given these appointments:
Dentist: Tuesday at 10:00 AM (cannot be moved)
Client call: Tuesday at 9:30 AM (flexible within the day)
Team meeting: Tuesday at 11:00 AM (flexible within the week)
Grocery pickup: Tuesday afternoon (must be completed that day)
Provide:
A reorganized schedule that avoids conflicts.
Which items you rescheduled and why.
How you prioritized the appointments.
Any assumptions you made.
Task 3: Printer Research
Find at least three printers currently for sale that meet ALL of these requirements:
Priced under $500.
Prints on 11" × 17" (tabloid) paper.
Suitable for ordinary business documents.
For each, provide:
Manufacturer and exact model number.
Current price.
Color or black and white.
Inkjet or laser.
Link to the manufacturer’s page or a reputable retailer.
Then recommend the best overall option. Verify the specifications rather than relying on product titles or search snippets. If you cannot verify three, explain what you found and why.
Final Instructions
Submit all three tasks in one organized document with headings and bullet points.
Be concise but thorough.
AI tools are permitted, but you are responsible for accuracy.
Do not ask for clarification. Make reasonable assumptions and state them.
Quality, accuracy, and attention to detail matter more than presentation. We look forward to hearing from you.
