Easy Clothes USA is a fast-growing women's fashion brand based in Los Angeles. We sell online and are very active on Instagram, TikTok and paid social. We are looking for a truly exceptional short-form video editor to join our marketing team.
Please read this carefully. We are NOT looking for an average editor or someone doing this as a side gig. We want someone who lives and breathes short-form content, has real taste in fashion and visuals, and takes pride in every frame they deliver.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Edit vertical short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Turn raw footage (collection launches, promotions, UGC, everyday content) into polished, scroll-stopping videos
- Create paid social ads focused on conversion: strong hooks, clear offers, clear calls to action
- Create organic content that feels natural and native to each platform
- Create variations of videos for testing (different hooks, lengths, angles)
- Work with our Head of Marketing and creative team on briefs and feedback
WHO YOU ARE
- 2+ years of professional short-form video editing experience
- A great eye for fashion, typography and visual style
- You understand the difference between organic content and paid ads, and you edit differently for each
- You know what makes a great hook and how to keep viewers watching
- You keep up with trends, sounds and formats on TikTok and Instagram
- Expert in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut or After Effects
- Fast, reliable, organized and great at taking feedback
- Good written English and a computer that can handle 4K footage
DETAILS
- Part time, 20 hours per week
- $550 USD per month
- Long-term role with room to grow as the brand grows
- Remote, with some overlap with US Pacific Time for meetings
HOW TO APPLY: EDITING EXERCISE REQUIRED
To apply, you must complete our editing exercise. Applications without it will not be reviewed.
DEADLINE: Monday, October 12, 2026
Download the raw footage here:
The folder contains raw footage for three scenarios. Create ONE vertical video for each (3 videos total):
1. COLLECTION LAUNCH
A video that introduces a new collection on Reels, TikTok or Shorts. Show us how you set the mood and identity of the collection, pick the strongest fashion moments, and handle pacing, music, text and transitions. Polished, but still native to social.
2. PAID SOCIAL AD
A conversion-focused ad for a sale/promotion. Show us your opening hook, how you communicate the offer, product visibility, on-screen text and call to action, while still feeling like a fashion brand. We want to see how your approach changes when the goal is sales instead of storytelling.
3. EVERYDAY UGC CONTENT
The footage here is casual and less produced. Turn it into an engaging, natural, social-first video we could post between bigger launches.
You do not need to use all the footage. Choosing the best moments is part of the test. There is no required length, song, font or style. We want to see your own creative instincts. Don't make it complex just to show off. We care about whether your choices make sense for the goal of each video.
For each video, add a few sentences or bullet points covering:
- Intended platform and use
- Creative objective
- Your editing approach and why you made those choices
- Other variations you would test if editing for us regularly
HOW TO SUBMIT
1. Create a Google Drive folder with your 3 videos and your notes
2. Set sharing to "Anyone with the link can view" (we will not request access, so if we can't open it, we can't review it)
3. Send us the folder link through your OnlineJobs application with:
- The words "FASHION EDITOR" at the start of your message
- A link to your portfolio
- Your weekly availability and the software you use
All submissions must be received by Monday, October 12, 2026.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Creative judgment, editing quality, fashion and visual sense, finding strong moments in raw footage, pacing and storytelling, hooks and retention, typography, clear product and offer messaging, and overall fit with the Easy Clothes brand.
Your submitted videos are used for internal evaluation only and will not be published or used commercially without a separate agreement.
We can't wait to see your work!
