JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT US
XP Strategy runs Amazon and marketplace advertising for seven- and eight-figure sellers in the US and internationally. As an Amazon Ads Verified Partner, we help brands grow across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and TikTok. The team is small, senior, and fully distributed, and we are growing.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our founder has started recording a video podcast about Amazon, ecommerce, AI, and building a business. We need an editor who can take a raw multicam studio recording and turn it into a polished long-form episode plus a full set of short clips. The work is paid per episode, and the editor who does great work gets every episode.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE
- 4 camera angles (1080p, 24fps), each as its own file
- A separate studio audio track
- The studio's DaVinci Resolve project file
- About 1.5 to 2 hours of conversation per episode, 50 GB or more of files

WHAT YOU'LL DELIVER
- One clean long-form episode: smooth switches between camera angles, filler words, long pauses, false starts and off-topic stretches removed, balanced audio, and a clean open and close
- Tighter answers. Our founder tends to talk at length, so trimming long answers to their strongest version without losing the point is a big part of this job
- A full set of vertical clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, each with a strong hook in the first few seconds and burned-in captions checked against the audio
- Clips organized by topic (for example AI, Amazon PPC, the founder's story, and lighter conversation) with clear file names and a short list of each clip's topic and suggested title
- A plus: a thumbnail and title ideas for the full episode

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- YOU HAVE EDITED FULL-LENGTH PODCAST OR INTERVIEW EPISODES, NOT ONLY SHORT CLIPS. The form asks for a link to a full episode you edited.
- Multicam editing in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
- You can find the moments worth clipping on your own, without a shot-by-shot brief
- Clean, accurate captions and good written English
- A computer that can handle a 4-camera 1080p timeline, and internet fast enough to download a full episode's files without a long wait
- Reliable turnaround and clear communication through Slack and ClickUp
- Experience with business, ecommerce, Amazon, or marketing content is a plus

WORKING TERMS
- Fully remote, async work
- Paid per episode. In the form, tell us what you would charge for one 2-hour episode: the full long-form edit plus around 15 short clips
- Ongoing work as we keep recording
- Some overlap with US Eastern business hours for feedback rounds
- Shortlisted applicants do a small paid test edit from a real recording

HOW TO APPLY
Read this post fully, then complete our short application form. It takes about 5 minutes and includes a 2-minute video intro.

Instruction check: when the form asks for the two words from the instructions, type CLEAN CUT.
