JOB OVERVIEW

Position: Content Publishing Specialist
Employment Type: 2 month Gig (to start)
Location: Remote
Working Hours: Minimum 50% overlap with Eastern Time (ET) business hours
Experience Level: Junior to Intermediate (1–3+ years preferred)

- About the Role

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Content Publishing Specialist to join our digital marketing team.

This is a high-volume, production-focused role responsible for publishing website content accurately, efficiently, and consistently across multiple client websites using WordPress (Elementor) and Sanity CMS.

The ideal candidate has an exceptional eye for detail, understands what makes a webpage look professional, and can follow established publishing processes while applying foundational SEO best practices.

This is not primarily a content writing or SEO strategy position. Your responsibility will be to take prepared content and turn it into polished, properly formatted, SEO-friendly webpages that are ready for visitors and search engines.

Training, publishing guidelines, templates, and checklists will be provided. However, previous experience working with WordPress, Elementor, and/or Sanity CMS is strongly preferred.

- Key Responsibilities

Content Publishing & Page Formatting

Publish a high volume of blog posts, landing pages, and other website content.

Work within WordPress (including Elementor) and Sanity CMS.

Format content to match established website templates and design standards.

Ensure pages are visually appealing, consistent, and professional across desktop and mobile devices.

Properly format headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, buttons, and other page elements.

Add and optimise images, including sizing, alignment, compression, and descriptive alt text.

Identify and correct layout issues, formatting inconsistencies, broken elements, and visual errors.

Ensure published pages accurately reflect the approved content provided.

- Foundational SEO Implementation

Apply basic on-page SEO best practices to every published page, including:

Entering accurate, optimised SEO title tags and meta descriptions.

Correctly formatting H1, H2, H3, and other heading levels.

Adding relevant internal links using appropriate anchor text.

Ensuring external links are correctly placed and functional.

Checking URL slugs and page structure.

Adding image alt text where appropriate.

Applying appropriate categories, tags, and other CMS fields.

Following provided SEO instructions, content briefs, and publishing checklists.

Identifying obvious SEO issues and escalating them to the appropriate team member.

Advanced SEO knowledge is not required. We will provide training on our publishing standards and SEO processes.

Quality Assurance & Workflow Management

Thoroughly review each page before publishing.

Check desktop and mobile layouts for visual consistency.

Verify links, headings, images, spacing, and formatting.

Catch spelling errors, missing content, formatting mistakes, and inconsistencies.

Manage repetitive publishing tasks while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality.

Follow documented workflows and meet daily or weekly publishing targets.

Track progress and communicate any publishing blockers or issues.

Incorporate feedback quickly and avoid repeating previously identified mistakes.

- What We're Looking For / Required Qualifications

Experience publishing and formatting content in a CMS, preferably WordPress with Elementor or Sanity.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual judgment.

Ability to recognise when a page looks polished versus when something is misaligned, inconsistent, or poorly formatted.

Familiarity with basic on-page SEO principles, including title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, and internal linking.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of repetitive work.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures consistently.

Comfortable working independently and maintaining productivity without constant supervision.

Strong written English comprehension and communication skills.

Availability to work at least 50% of working hours overlapping with Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

- Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with both WordPress (Elementor) and Sanity CMS.

Experience publishing SEO-focused blog posts and commercial landing pages.

Familiarity with common WordPress SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Experience using project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar.

Experience working with an SEO or digital marketing agency.

- Who Will Succeed in This Role?

This position is particularly well suited to someone who:

Notices the small things. You catch inconsistent spacing, incorrect headings, missing links, and poorly cropped images that others overlook.

Enjoys structured, repetitive work. You are comfortable publishing many pages each week while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Takes pride in presentation. You care about the final appearance of every webpage, even when the task seems routine.

Works efficiently. You can move through a publishing queue quickly without sacrificing quality.

Follows processes. You understand the importance of consistency across multiple websites and client projects.

Learns quickly. You are comfortable learning new CMS platforms, templates, and publishing requirements.

- Training & Support

We provide onboarding and training covering:

Our publishing standards and quality assurance checklists.

WordPress, Elementor, and Sanity workflows specific to our client websites.

Baseline on-page SEO requirements.

Internal linking guidelines and content formatting standards.

Page design consistency and mobile responsiveness.

Production targets, task tracking, and escalation procedures.

While training is provided, candidates should already be comfortable navigating content management systems and publishing website content.

- Performance Expectations

Success will be measured primarily through:

Publishing accuracy: Pages are published correctly with minimal errors or revisions.

Visual quality: Pages are clean, consistent, and professional on desktop and mobile.

SEO compliance: Required metadata, headings, links, and SEO fields are completed accurately.

Productivity: Consistent achievement of publishing volume targets.

Reliability: Tasks are completed on schedule with clear communication and minimal supervision.

The expectation is to deliver both high output and high quality, rather than prioritising speed at the expense of accuracy.

- How to Apply / Please submit:

Your resume, including relevant CMS experience.

A brief description of your experience with WordPress, Elementor, and/or Sanity.

Examples of webpages or blog posts you have personally published or formatted.

Your location, time zone, and availability to overlap with Eastern Time business hours.

What matters most: We are looking for someone who can publish content repeatedly, accurately, and efficiently — and who takes pride in making every page look right, down to the smallest detail.
