The role
We are hiring an AEO and Social Media Strategist to make Scouter the answer people find when they ask how to protect hiring from AI-driven cheating.
You will own how Scouter appears in answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, and on social, especially LinkedIn. Your goal is to turn that visibility into inbound interest from investment firms and recruiting partners. You will work closely with the founding team, and your results will be measured in visibility, qualified conversations, and pipeline.
What you'll do
Answer engine optimization (AEO)
• Audit how AI engines describe Scouter and its category today, and track whether Scouter is cited for the queries that matter.
• Build a query map of what investment firms, recruiters, and candidates ask AI engines about assessment integrity and AI cheating in hiring.
• Create content designed to be cited: clear explainers, FAQs, comparison pages, and data-backed posts, with structured data and consistent definitions of what Scouter is.
• Earn the third-party mentions that answer engines trust, including press, industry coverage, directories, and partner and recruiting-firm pages.
• Report monthly on AI visibility and citations, and adjust the plan based on what moves them.
Social media strategy
• Own Scouter's LinkedIn presence and editorial calendar, and shape the founder's thought-leadership voice.
• Turn product insights and trends into posts, carousels, and short video, using only anonymized and approved data. Client and candidate information is never shared.
• Engage the private equity, recruiting, and HR-tech communities, and amplify launches, partnerships, and press wins.
• Test formats and topics, and tie social performance to qualified inbound conversations.
Across both
• Align messaging with sales and the founders so what people read matches what we say in conversations.
• Support PR by identifying journalists and publications that cover AI and hiring, and by drafting pitches.
What you'll bring
• Experience in content, SEO, growth, or social strategy, ideally in B2B or at an early-stage startup.
• A working understanding of AEO, also called generative engine optimization: how AI engines retrieve and cite sources, and how to test and track that.
• Strong writing that sounds credible to a finance and professional audience.
• A record of growing a LinkedIn or B2B social presence, with results you can point to.
• Comfort with analytics and tools, such as Google Analytics, Search Console, AI-visibility trackers, and social analytics.
• Ownership and speed: you set priorities, ship often, and learn from what the data shows.
Nice to have
• Experience marketing to financial services, private equity, or recruiting and HR-tech buyers.
• Technical SEO skills, including schema markup and structured data.
• Short-form video and basic design skills, in tools such as Canva or Figma.
• Familiarity with hiring, assessments, or trust and safety.
