Part Time
$50/full episode

I'm Alan Regala. I run Athlete to Owner, where I help people find the right franchise and build a business worth owning. Every week we publish The Franchise Champion Show, a video podcast on YouTube and Spotify. Most episodes are interviews of 45 to 60 minutes. Some solo episodes run as short as 7 minutes.
Here's our latest episode:
You'll work day to day with our podcast producer, who is also in the Philippines, so the person reviewing your edits shares your work day.
WHAT YOU DELIVER FOR EVERY EPISODE
- A polished full-length video edit, ready for YouTube and Spotify
- Clean audio: no background noise, no volume jumps, no false starts or awkward gaps left in
- A YouTube thumbnail built from our template, with the correct guest name and photo
- An MP3 audio file
- A transcript that matches the final edit
- All files uploaded to that episode's Google Drive folder within 3 business days of receiving the raw footage
WHAT MATTERS MOST
Careful work. Editing talent is easy to find. Someone who checks every file before sending it is harder to find, and that's who I'm hiring. Before every delivery you'll run our checklist: right episode, right guest, right thumbnail, right files, audio checked start to finish. If something is going to be late, you tell us before the deadline, not after.
YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU HAVE
- 2+ years editing long-form video, ideally podcasts or interviews
- Long-form work you edited yourself (I'll ask what you did on each piece)
- Strong audio cleanup skills, not only video cuts
- Experience working from Google Drive and downloading large video files
- Clear written English, and you ask questions when something is unclear
- Reliable internet for large uploads
PAY AND HOURS
Part-time, about one episode per week. This is a long-term role for the right person. Paid per episode: $50 for a full interview episode and less for short solo episodes. Every finalist completes a paid test edit before we hire.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Start your application with the words "Champion Edit" so I know you read the whole post.
2. Send 2 links to long-form videos you edited, and tell me what you did on each.
3. Tell me which software you edit in, and how many hours a 60-minute interview edit takes you.
4. Watch our latest episode and tell me one specific thing you'd improve, with the timestamp.
Applications without the phrase won't be reviewed.
Thanks,
Alan
