JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a VSL/UGC Video Editor to help us create high-performing video ads for our Dutch e-commerce brand.

Our main focus will be direct-response video ads for Meta (Facebook & Instagram), especially VSL and UGC-style creatives.

We are looking for someone who understands that a good ad is not just about making a video look nice. You should understand hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention and how to turn a script into an engaging ad.

What you will be doing:

Editing VSL and UGC-style video ads for Facebook and Instagram

Turning scripts and creative briefs into complete video ads

Creating different hook variations for the same ad

Finding and sourcing relevant B-roll/UGC footage when needed

Using AI tools to create or enhance creative assets where useful

Adding subtitles, on-screen text, music and sound effects

Working independently and making creative decisions

What we are looking for:

Experience editing VSL, UGC or direct-response video ads

Experience with e-commerce and Meta/Facebook ads

Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling and retention

Ability to source suitable footage independently

Experience using AI tools in the video creation process

Good communication in English

Reliable and open to feedback

When applying, please include:

A short introduction about yourself

How long you have been editing videos

Your best VSL/UGC or direct-response ads that you personally edited

Your experience with e-commerce and Meta ads

Which editing and AI tools you use

Your availability per week

Your expected monthly salary in USD for part-time work

Please send us your best advertising work, especially VSL/UGC ads, rather than general video editing examples.

Selected candidates will be asked to complete the same short test assignment before we choose an editor.

We are looking for someone we can potentially work with long-term if it is a good fit.
