JOB OVERVIEW

You will close US freight forwarders onto Shipline, full cycle: your own outbound, your own demos, your own signatures. Remote from anywhere in the Philippines, on US business hours — roughly 9pm to 6am Manila time. You are the first sales hire. Until now the founders have closed every account themselves.

What you will be selling
--------------------------------
Shipline is the operating system for independent freight forwarders. A branded portal their shippers use to get quotes and track cargo, and an AI agent — Shippie — that answers shipper questions, chases suppliers for missing documents, and follows up on every open quote, all in the forwarder's own voice.
The pricing is why this job is winnable. Shipline charges $99 per shipment — and it goes on the shipper's invoice as a line item, not out of the forwarder's margin. No subscription. No setup fee. No annual contract. If no shipments run through the platform, the forwarder pays nothing.
That means your opening line is not "let me show you our pricing." It is "we only get paid when shipments run through it." You will spend far less time on price than you are used to, and far more on whether the product actually fits how they work.

Who you will be selling to
-------------------------------------
Independent freight forwarders in Los Angeles, Houston and Miami. Not the global giants — the owner-operated firms doing $3M to $30M a year with five to thirty staff, running Magaya or spreadsheets, moving containers on China–US, Mexico–US and India–US lanes.
The person you speak to owns the company. They can say yes in one meeting, with no procurement committee and no six-month evaluation. They are also conservative, have been sold to badly for twenty years, and will know within ninety seconds whether you understand their business.
They buy for two reasons. Their shippers are starting to expect the visibility Flexport gives, and they cannot afford to build it. And their coordination work grows with every shipment, so their headcount grows with their revenue and their margin never moves.

What the job actually is
-------------------------------
The motion is already working — the founders have closed accounts with it. Your job is to run it at volume and improve it.
Build the workspace before you reach out. Every prospect gets a Shipline workspace set up under their own brand before the first message: their name, their lanes, their logo. You send them a link to something that already exists, not a calendar invite.
Send the opener. LinkedIn or email, to the owner. Short, pain-first, with the link. Never a feature list.
Run the demo. Thirty minutes. Three on their business, five listening, ten in the product showing them their own branded portal, two on pricing, ten on closing. You will do four to eight of these a day once you are ramped.
Close it yourself. No handoff to a founder, no deal desk. You send the agreement and you get it signed.
Hand over clean. Brief customer success on what the forwarder cares about, what they were promised, and which shipper they want on the portal first.
Feed the playbook back. Every objection you cannot answer is either a script gap or a product gap. You will be in a weekly call with both founders where that gets d ---------- .

Who this is for
----------------------
• Three or more years closing B2B deals to US buyers, by video and phone, start to signature. Not lead generation, not appointment setting. You have carried a quota and hit it.
• Freight, logistics or supply chain somewhere in your background — a forwarder, a 3PL, a customs brokerage, or a logistics BPO account. If you have never touched freight, you need to be able to show us you learn a technical domain fast.
• English good enough to hold a US owner's attention for thirty minutes. Not accent-neutral — clear, confident, and able to follow a conversation that wanders.
• Comfortable without a script on the hard calls. A forwarder who says "my shippers would never use a portal" needs a real answer, not a rebuttal card.
• Reliable internet and a quiet place to work US hours. We will help with the equipment; the room and the connection are yours.
