Remote | Philippines Preferred | Long-Term Position | Consistent Monthly Work
We are looking for a talented, reliable and creative video editor to become a long-term part of our real estate media and marketing team.
This is not a one-time freelance project.
We are looking for someone we can build a relationship with and provide consistent monthly content to. Our expected production will be approximately 4–6 long-form horizontal YouTube videos per month, plus approximately 8–12 vertical short-form videos for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
Our content focuses primarily on real estate, relocating from New York City to the New Jersey suburbs, local communities, homeownership, lifestyle, market education and occasionally Florida real estate and relocation.
We want our videos to feel polished, intelligent, engaging and modern without feeling overproduced or gimmicky.
WHAT WE NEED
The right editor must be comfortable editing long-form YouTube videos where storytelling, pacing and viewer retention matter.
You should be able to take raw footage and create a finished video that feels intentional rather than simply cutting pauses between sentences.
Long-form editing may include:
Removing unnecessary pauses, mistakes and repetitive sections
Finding the strongest opening or hook
Improving pacing and overall story flow
Using B-roll to visually support what is being discussed
Adding appropriate property, neighborhood, lifestyle or location footage
Adding maps, screenshots, property imagery or graphics when relevant
Adding clean on-screen text and callouts
Using music appropriately without overwhelming the content
Basic sound cleanup and audio balancing
Basic color correction
Creating natural transitions
Adding lower thirds when appropriate
Creating tasteful calls to action
Adding chapters or visual structure where useful
Keeping viewers visually engaged without making the video feel overly edited
SHORT-FORM CONTENT
You will also create approximately 8–12 vertical videos each month from our existing footage and/or long-form videos.
We are looking for someone who understands how to identify a strong 30–90 second moment rather than simply cutting random sections out of a longer video.
Short-form videos should have:
A strong opening hook
Clean captions
Good pacing
Appropriate punch-ins or visual changes
Relevant B-roll when useful
A clear story or takeaway
Clean branding
An ending that feels intentional
We do not want excessive emojis, distracting animations, constant sound effects or editing that makes professional real estate content feel cheap.
ABOUT OUR STYLE
Our brand is clean, modern, editorial, polished and approachable.
Think knowledgeable local real estate advisor rather than television commercial.
Our audience includes homeowners, home sellers, buyers and families considering moving from New York City, Hoboken and Jersey City into New Jersey communities such as Westfield, Summit, Short Hills, Cranford, Scotch Plains, Mountainside and surrounding towns.
Some videos are educational.
Some are neighborhood or lifestyle videos.
Some include property tours.
Some involve conversations between two Realtors.
Some may involve voiceovers, B-roll and local footage.
The ability to understand the subject matter and find the story within the footage is extremely important.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should be:
Highly experienced with long-form YouTube editing
Excellent at pacing and storytelling
Able to recognize where a viewer may lose interest
Comfortable editing talking-head content
Comfortable working with multiple camera angles when available
Very detail-oriented
Reliable with deadlines
Responsive and communicative
Comfortable receiving feedback and revisions
Able to learn our style rather than forcing your own style onto every video
Interested in a long-term relationship rather than individual freelance projects
Able to organize footage and project files properly
Comfortable working independently once you understand our standards
Bonus experience:
Real estate content
Neighborhood or travel content
Podcast editing
Property tours
Map animations
YouTube thumbnails
Motion graphics
Drone footage
YouTube channel management
SEO or YouTube optimization
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve experience
MONTHLY CONTENT
We anticipate providing enough work for approximately:
4–6 long-form horizontal YouTube videos per month
8–12 vertical short-form videos per month
Our goal is consistency. We want to establish a repeatable workflow where footage is delivered, edits are completed on schedule, revisions are handled efficiently and content continues moving without constant follow-up.
We expect this position to grow as our YouTube and social media presence grows.
HOW TO APPLY
Please do not send only a generic editing reel.
We want to see work that demonstrates your ability to edit the type of content we actually create.

Whether you selected B-roll

We would especially like to see examples where you turned longer footage into a compelling standalone short.
