JOB OVERVIEW

Paid Media & Geofencing Specialist

Meta Ads | Performance Marketing | Local Advertising | Programmatic Geofencing

We are a UK-based digital agency looking for a Paid Media & Geofencing Specialist to work across our own businesses and client accounts.

Our clients operate across different industries, including hospitality, local businesses, e-commerce, service businesses and consumer brands.

This is not simply a Facebook Ads setup position.

We need someone who understands how to use paid advertising to generate customers, enquiries, bookings, website sales and physical visits.

The right person should be strong with Meta Ads and ideally have practical experience with geofencing / programmatic location-based advertising.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Meta Ads

You will plan, launch, manage and ---------- Facebook and Instagram campaigns across multiple businesses.

This will include:

Meta Ads Manager

Business Manager / Business Portfolio

Campaign strategy

Audience research

Lead generation

Local business advertising

E-commerce campaigns

WhatsApp lead campaigns

Website conversion campaigns

Retargeting

Custom audiences

Lookalike audiences

Creative testing

Copy/hook testing

Budget optimisation

Campaign scaling

Meta Pixel

Conversion API

Events Manager

GA4

UTM tracking

Landing-page/funnel analysis

You should understand the entire customer journey:

AD → CLICK → LEAD/VISIT → CUSTOMER → SALE

We don't just want clicks.

We want commercial results.

GEOFENCING & LOCATION-BASED ADVERTISING

A major area we want to develop is location-based advertising for local-business clients.

Experience with genuine geofencing or programmatic location advertising is therefore highly desirable.

We are particularly interested in someone who understands the difference between:

Standard Meta radius/location targeting

and

Building/venue-level geofencing using specialist advertising technology.

Potential campaigns may involve targeting audiences associated with visits to relevant physical locations such as:

Competitor businesses

Shopping areas

Restaurants

Hospitality venues

Retail locations

Gyms

Events

Commercial areas

Other relevant physical locations

Your responsibilities may include:

Building geofences around specific locations

Polygon/building-level targeting

Competitor-location strategies

Location-based audience creation

Programmatic advertising

Mobile/display campaigns

Retargeting eligible audiences

Footfall attribution

Measuring physical visits

Campaign optimisation

Reporting

All campaigns must operate within the relevant advertising platform's rules, privacy requirements and applicable law.

We are not interested in methods designed to bypass platform policies or privacy restrictions.

MULTIPLE BUSINESSES

This is an agency position.

You will not be working on only one business.

You may manage campaigns for businesses with completely different objectives.

For example:

Local Business

Goal: increase customers visiting a physical location.

E-commerce

Goal: generate profitable website purchases.

Service Business

Goal: generate qualified enquiries.

Hospitality

Goal: increase bookings/footfall during quieter periods.

You must therefore be capable of developing a different strategy for each business rather than copying the same campaign structure across every account.

PERFORMANCE & PROFITABILITY

We are commercially focused.

We do not consider impressions and clicks to be business results on their own.

Depending on the client, we will monitor:

Ad spend

Leads

Cost per lead

Cost per acquisition

Bookings

Website purchases

Revenue

ROAS

Conversion rate

Lead quality

WhatsApp enquiries

Physical visits/footfall where measurable

You should understand unit economics.

A campaign generating £10,000 revenue is not necessarily successful if acquiring those customers costs the business £12,000.

REPORTING

Each active account should have simple performance reporting.

We should be able to quickly understand:

What did we spend?

What did we generate?

What worked?

What didn't?

What needs changing?

What are we testing next?

We prefer clear commercial reporting rather than long reports filled with vanity metrics.

PROACTIVE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

We do not want to constantly chase our paid-media specialist.

If:

Performance drops

An advert is rejected

Tracking stops working

Spend suddenly increases

Leads become poor quality

An account develops a problem

A campaign is clearly wasting money

we expect you to investigate and communicate the issue quickly.

Communication and accountability are extremely important.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

20 hours per week

Approximately:

4 hours per day — Monday to Friday

Remote position based in the Philippines.

Most working hours can be flexible, although some UK-time overlap will occasionally be required for meetings and communication.

We care about output and performance, not watching someone's computer screen.

Initial review/probation period: 60 days

For the right person, there is potential for:

Increased salary

Increased hours

Performance bonuses

Full-time employment

Additional client accounts

Greater responsibility within the agency

We want someone who can grow with us.

EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You should have practical experience with several of the following:

Meta Ads

Facebook
/Instagram advertising

Meta Business Manager

Lead generation

Local business advertising

E-commerce

Shopify

WhatsApp funnels

Retargeting

Meta Pixel

Conversion API

GA4

Campaign reporting

Funnel optimisation

Experience with the following is a significant advantage:

Geofencing

Programmatic advertising

Location-based advertising

Polygon targeting

Footfall attribution

Competitor-location campaigns

Multi-client agency accounts

HOW TO APPLY

Start your application with:

GEOFENCE FIRST

Applications without this phrase may not be reviewed.

Please then answer the following.

1. META EXPERIENCE

Include:

Industry:
Monthly spend:
Objective:
CPA/CPL:

What you personally did:

2. GEOFENCING EXPERIENCE

Have you personally run true geofencing/location-based advertising campaigns?

If yes:

Which platform(s) did you use?

Please do not describe normal Meta radius targeting as building-level geofencing.

If you have not personally managed geofencing campaigns, simply state this.

3. PRACTICAL LOCATION SCENARIO

They want to reach relevant audiences associated with visits to these locations and encourage them to visit the client's venue.

Would you use:

Meta?

Programmatic geofencing?

Google?

A combination?

Explain why.

4. PROFITABILITY TEST

A business sells a product for £100.

Product cost: £50

Other cost per completed sale: £10

Meta advertising spend: £300

Sales generated: 6

Briefly explain the purpose of:

Meta Pixel

GA4

UTM parameters

7. ACCOUNT PROBLEM

A campaign suddenly starts spending significantly more while conversions fall.

What are the first things you check?

8. POLICY

A client asks you to advertise a product/service that is prohibited by the advertising platform.

What do you do?

9. AVAILABILITY

Please provide:

Current employment:
Hours available per week:
Normal Philippines working hours:
Earliest starting date:
Expected monthly salary:

IMPORTANT

We prefer short answers based on real experience rather than generic marketing explanations.

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to screen-share and walk us through how they would structure a campaign.

You may also be given a small practical test before being provided access to any live advertising accounts.

This is intended to become a long-term role for the right person.

We are looking for someone who can eventually become our go-to person for:

META ADS + PAID ACQUISITION + LOCAL ADVERTISING + GEOFENCING
