We’re looking for an organized, proactive Podcast Producer / Manager to oversee the ongoing production and management of a podcast from recording through publication.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both the creative and operational sides of podcasting. You should be able to manage timelines, coordinate moving pieces, communicate clearly with hosts and guests, and make sure each episode moves through production smoothly and on schedule.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the podcast workflow rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions.
You’ll help manage:
- The overall podcast production calendar
- Episode planning and scheduling
- Guest outreach, communication, and coordination
- Recording logistics
- Collecting guest bios, headshots, links, and promotional information
- Preparing hosts and guests with recording details and expectations
- Tracking episodes from recording through editing, approval, and publication
- Coordinating with podcast editors, video editors, designers, or other team members
- Reviewing edited episodes for quality and accuracy before publication
- Managing revisions and ensuring deadlines are met
- Uploading and scheduling episodes through the podcast hosting platform
- Writing or coordinating episode titles, descriptions, and show notes
- Adding links, resources, and guest information to episode pages
- Publishing episodes to YouTube when applicable
- Organizing podcast files, recordings, assets, and production documents
- Maintaining SOPs and production workflows
- Keeping the team informed about upcoming episodes, deadlines, and outstanding items
Depending on experience, this role may also support content strategy, episode development, repurposing, analytics, and growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
You’re likely a good fit if you:
- Have experience managing or producing podcasts
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Can keep a production workflow moving without constant oversight
- Communicate professionally with guests and team members
- Understand the basic podcast production process from recording through publication
- Have strong attention to detail
- Can identify issues before they become delays
- Are comfortable following up with people and keeping projects on track
- Can work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Are comfortable learning and managing new tools and systems
- Understand how podcast content connects to a larger content or marketing strategy
Experience with tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Riverside, Zoom, Descript, Spotify for Creators, Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Captivate, Podbean, YouTube, or similar platforms is helpful.
