# WHAT WE DO NOT WANT

We are not looking for someone who simply:

- Installs WordPress themes
- Changes website colors
- Uploads blog posts
- Generates hundreds of AI pages
- Purchases low-quality backlinks
- Sends generic monthly SEO reports
- Claims guaranteed #1 Google rankings
- Reports traffic without explaining whether it produces leads

We need someone who understands the complete relationship between:

**Website Development → Technical SEO → Local SEO → Rankings → Traffic → Conversion → Qualified Leads**

---

# PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The person hired for this position will be expected to establish baseline metrics and continuously monitor performance.

Important KPIs include:

- Organic search clicks
- Organic search impressions
- Search visibility
- Ranking improvements for target queries
- Indexed pages
- Technical SEO errors
- Organic website users
- Organic phone-call conversions
- Organic form submissions
- Conversion rate
- Core Web Vitals
- Local search visibility

We understand SEO takes time. Candidates should never guarantee specific rankings.

We expect measurable progress, transparent reporting, documented work, and a clear strategy.

---

# WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee should provide a weekly report showing:

1. Work completed during the week
2. Pages created
3. Pages optimized

9. Conversion changes
10. Website-speed changes
11. Backlinks/citations acquired or pursued
12. Problems requiring management attention

The report should focus on measurable results rather than simply listing hours worked.

---

# FIRST 30 DAYS

During the first 30 days, the successful candidate will be expected to:

**Week 1:** Complete a comprehensive website, technical SEO, indexing, analytics, tracking, content, local SEO, and conversion audit.

**Week 2:** Prioritize and begin correcting critical technical SEO, indexing, website-speed, tracking, and conversion issues.

**Week 3:** Begin improving core service pages, internal linking, website architecture, titles, descriptions, schema, and content.

**Week 4:** Present a documented 90-day SEO and website-development roadmap based on actual website data and competitive research.

---

# IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is analytical, technically capable, organized, and results-oriented.

You should be comfortable independently identifying a problem such as:

**"Organic traffic increased, but phone calls did not."**

You should then be able to investigate why and determine whether the problem involves:

- Search intent
- Keyword targeting
- Page rankings
- Landing-page quality
- Mobile usability
- Call-to-action placement
- Conversion tracking
- Website speed
- Technical problems

We want someone who can identify problems and implement solutions—not someone who needs to be given a checklist every day.

---

# HOW TO APPLY

Please submit:

1. Resume
2. Examples of websites you have developed or managed
3. Examples of SEO campaigns you have personally managed
4. Examples of local SEO results
5. Before-and-after organic traffic or Search Console results when available
6. SEO tools you regularly use
7. WordPress development experience
8. Experience with home-service companies
9. Your availability
10. Desired compensation

Please also answer the following:

**1. How would you perform a complete SEO audit of an existing home-service website?**

**2. What are the first five things you would check in Google Search Console?**

**3. How would you structure a website targeting plumbing, electrical, and solar services throughout San Diego County?**

**4. What is your strategy for creating city/service-area pages without creating duplicate or low-value content?**

**5. How do you measure whether SEO is actually generating qualified leads rather than simply generating traffic?**

**6. What technical SEO problems have you personally fixed on WordPress websites?**

**7. What would you focus on during your first 30 days working with our company?**

---

# IMPORTANT

This is a hands-on position.

We are looking for someone who can personally perform the work, analyze the results, and continuously improve the website.

If your experience is primarily project management and you depend on other developers or SEO specialists to perform the technical work, this position may not be the right fit.

Our objective is straightforward:

**Build one of the strongest organic search presences in our service area and convert that visibility into qualified inbound plumbing, electrical, and solar service leads.**
