I'm looking for an experienced YouTube Video Editor to join me for a long-term collaboration on my channel "Fortune or Failure" (
I'll handle:
---------------------
- Research
- Script
- Voiceover
- Footage collection
- Music selection
- Initial rough cut
Your job:
---------------------
You'll receive a Premiere Pro project with the edit and all linked footage, music, etc.
Your job is to take that foundation and turn it into the best possible final video.
You'll focus on:
- Creating an engaging intro/hook — this is 100% your responsibility. I will not create an intro!
- Improving pacing and storytelling
- Selecting and replacing footage where necessary
- Adding motion graphics and visual storytelling
- Improving music and sound design
- Final color correction
- Making creative changes that improve the video
The rough cut is a starting point, not something you have to follow exactly.
Why should I hire you?
---------------------
You're not being hired to simply execute instructions.
I want you to think, make decisions and have opinions.
If you see a better way to edit a scene, change it.
If footage doesn't work, replace it.
If the pacing is weak, fix it.
If you have an idea that makes the video better, try it.
Feedback goes both ways:
---------------------
Your editing judgment and feedback is a major part of the value you bring to the workflow. It will also help me improve the rough cut video I'll provide you so you can even focus more on improving the video with YOUR skills!
I'll give you feedback and expect you to listen and implement it. But I also want your honest feedback on my work.
If I'm preparing too much footage, structuring a rough cut inefficiently, or doing something that makes your job harder, tell me.
The goal is to build a workflow together where I get better at preparing projects and you get more time to focus on great editing.
Efficiency
---------------------
Once we have the workflow dialed in, I expect finishing a video to take around 4 hours or less in most cases.
This isn't about rushing or cutting corners. I'm deliberately handling the pre-production so you can spend your time on the creative finishing work.
Who I'm looking for
---------------------
You should:
- Have strong YouTube editing experience
- Be highly comfortable with Premiere Pro
- Understand pacing, storytelling and viewer retention
- Be good at creating hooks/intros. Here I am the weakest!
- Have strong footage-selection instincts
- Understand music and sound design
- Be comfortable with motion graphics
- Take feedback well
- Give constructive feedback
- Be able to work independently and make creative decisions
Bonus:
---------------------
Experience creating AI-generated video/visual scenes to enhance storytelling.
Apply:

Please send:
1. A short introduction
2. Your best YouTube editing examples
3. Your experience with motion graphics
4. Whether you have experience with AI-generated video
5. Your rate
6. Your weekly availability
7. Typical turnaround time
8. Anything you want to mention that makes you stand out/a great fit for this job.
One last thing:
Start your application with the word: PASSIONFRUIT. This is simply to show me that you've read the entire post carefully.
