JOB OVERVIEW

Our company is in search of a dedicated Full Time Australian Tax Accountant to work remotely and contribute to the efficient financial operations of our collection of small businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks with proficiency in Xero, our accounting platform of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Management of Accounts Payable and Receivable, including tracking overdue accounts
- Tax preparation for individuals and companies, and filing for BAS, IAS, and Payroll
- Preparation of financial statements for the AU businesses
- Execution of daily and monthly account reconciliations
- Monitoring and responding to customer queries via our email address
- Performing additional tasks as required, including bookkeeping and payroll

Candidate Requirements:
- At least two years of experience in tax preparations for AU businesses
- Expertise in using Xero (Xero certification), including working with external integrations
- Experience in using MYOB, Quickbooks, etc
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Advanced Excel capabilities
- Significant previous experience in comparable roles(bookkeeping and tax preparer)
- An academic degree or professional training in accounting
- Prior experience working with Australian clientele is preferable
