COMPANY OVERVIEW
BKG is a home-renovation group in the Netherlands. Our brands include Sanitairstudio (bathrooms) and
Tegelstudio (tiles), alongside 25+ other home-improvement brands in the wider BKG group. We film a lot of
short-form video ourselves and need an editor who turns that footage into videos people watch to the end.

JOB DESCRIPTION
You turn raw footage into Reels, TikToks and Shorts: a strong first two seconds, tight pacing, accurate captions
and light motion, in a consistent look per brand. One filming session of an hour should become 20 or more
clips. You work from the shoot guide and brief of our creative strategist, and our AI content creator supplies the
B-roll and visuals that were not filmed. Most of our videos are in Dutch; a Dutch colleague checks the captions
before anything is published. Your work is split across our bathroom brand (Sanitairstudio), the wider BKG
group and our tile brand (Tegelstudio), so you switch between brand looks.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Cut each filming session into 20 or more vertical clips, following the shoot guide: choose the moments, build
the hook, cut the dead air.
Edit for retention: the strongest moment first, tight pacing, and B-roll, zooms and on-screen text where they
help.
Add captions in our brand style, accurate and well timed. For Dutch videos you work with auto-transcription
and a glossary of our terms, and a Dutch colleague checks the captions before publishing.
Build and maintain the look per brand: caption template, title and lower-third animations, colors and export
presets.
Deliver versions: per platform (length, safe zones, cover frame) and ad variants with different hooks for our
Meta ads specialist.
Handle mixed footage: phone, pocket camera, 360° (reframing) and drone. Clean up the sound and match
the color.
Keep delivery reliable: an agreed delivery day per batch, clear file names, an organized archive and a B-roll
library. One round of feedback should be enough.

REQUIRED SKILLS
2+ years of short-form editing, with a portfolio you can link to.

A professional editor of your own (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut) next to CapCut. CapCut or
Canva alone is not enough for this role.
Strong pacing and hooks: you know what the first two seconds must do, and you can explain your choices.
Captions that are accurate, readable and timed to the speaker, and a clear process for captions in a
language you don’t speak.
Motion basics: animated titles, callouts and reusable templates.
Fast with AI-assisted tools (auto-captions, auto-clipping), and you know when to fix things by hand.
Clean sound, and you know which music a business account is allowed to use.
A computer that handles 4K footage and an internet connection that handles large files.
Reliable and responsive on your working days. Good written English.

Your own DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut. After Effects is a plus.
Insta360 Studio for reframing 360° footage.
Canva for cover frames.

NICE TO HAVE
Experience editing Dutch or other foreign-language video.
After Effects and motion templates.
Sound design and color grading.
Long-form YouTube or podcast editing.
Home, interior or real-estate content.
Knowledge of Dutch or German.

AVAILABILITY
Part-time, 20 hours per week, spread over at least four days, with daily responsiveness on those days. We
agree on a delivery day for each batch of footage. You have a weekly check-in with our content team during
Amsterdam business hours (CET/CEST), which is afternoon and evening in the Philippines. A reliable, highspeed internet connection is required.

EXPECTATIONS
You turn footage around quickly without dropping quality: tight pacing, clean captions, an on-brand finish. You
follow the brief, you say so when footage is unusable, and you can tell us why you made a cut. If you spot a
way to improve a process, a tool or a result, you raise it with your manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS / SALARY
$398/month. Part-time now, with room to grow as our content output scales. Long-term, stable role.

captions right? Give your steps, and say where a Dutch colleague comes in.
4. You receive one hour of raw footage from a single filming session, plus a shoot guide. We want 20 clips.
Describe your workflow and tools from download to delivery, and how many working hours you need.
Also include:
Your editing software and whether you have your own license, your computer (processor, RAM, graphics
card) and your internet speed.
Your usual turnaround for one 30 to 60 second short from raw footage, and which days and hours
(Philippine time) you are available.
