JOB OVERVIEW

Senior WordPress Developer – Truffle Digital
Full time, remote | 40 hours a week | US$12–16 an hour

Are you a senior WordPress developer who already leads a team and is ready to step into project management? Truffle Digital builds and hosts websites for tourism, hospitality and small businesses in Tasmania, Australia. We're growing rapidly and need a technical leader to run our projects and team.

What you'll do
- Run our pipeline of website builds, from kickoff to launch
- Scope builds and larger requests accurately before they're quoted
- Give the final technical and design sign-off on every site before launch
- Lead our developers, designers and support team
- Be the main contact for clients and explain technical issues in plain English
- Step in on the hardest fixes when needed
- Own our SOPs and report to the Director every week

What you'll bring
- 7+ years of WordPress development, at least 3 at senior level
- 2+ years leading or managing a development or design team
- Advanced Elementor Pro, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, plus cPanel/WHM
- A strong eye for design and responsive layout
- Experience scoping and estimating web projects

Nice to have
- Project management training
- Cloudflare, WP Rocket, Wordfence and WooCommerce
- Tourism or accommodation booking sites

Please don't apply unless you have all of the following:
- 7+ years of experience developing WordPress websites
- Superior spoken and written English, with the confidence to lead calls with Australian clients
- Availability to work full time, 40 hours a week, during Australian business hours
- A reliable home office with backup internet and backup power
- The habit of replying to messages and calls promptly during work hours

How to apply
Send your CV, links to 3 sites you built or led, and a 3-minute intro video. In it, tell us about a team you've led and how you'd explain a site outage to a non-technical client.
