I’m looking for a reliable, creative YouTube Video Editor to help me build and grow a personal-brand YouTube channel. I am looking for an editor to join as soon as Sunday Oct 4th, 2026 EST TIME.
My content focuses on helping women entrepreneurs with ADHD turn scattered tasks, ideas, and projects into simple systems so they know what to do next and actually finish what they start.
Topics may include:
- ADHD and entrepreneurship
- Productivity and organization
- Business systems and workflows
- AI and automation
- Delegation
- Overwhelm and task management
- Building a business when your brain has 47 tabs open
I will primarily be creating talking-head, educational, and story-based YouTube videos.
What You'll Be Doing
You will take my raw footage and turn it into polished, engaging YouTube videos.
This may include:
- Editing long-form YouTube videos
- Removing mistakes, pauses, filler, and unnecessary sections
- Tightening pacing to keep viewers engaged
- Adding B-roll where appropriate
- Adding text, graphics, screenshots, zooms, and visual emphasis
- Adding music and sound effects when appropriate
- Adding captions or emphasized keywords
- Creating pattern interrupts so the video doesn't feel like one long talking head
- Color correction and basic audio cleanup
- Following my branding and editing style
- Exporting finished videos in the correct YouTube format
- Organizing project files and completed videos
Depending on your skill set, there may also be opportunities to:
- Turn long-form videos into YouTube Shorts/Reels
- Help identify strong clips from each video
- Suggest edits that improve audience retention
- Help develop a consistent visual editing style for the channel
The Style I'm Looking For
I DON'T want videos that feel overly corporate, sterile, or like someone added an animation every three seconds just because they could.
I'm building a personality-driven educational channel. I like creatives that incorporate playfulness.
The editing should feel:
Clean + conversational + energetic + smart + modern
Think editing that supports what I'm saying rather than distracting from it.
I want viewers to feel like they're sitting down with a smart friend who understands their brain and is helping them figure out what to do next.
Who I'm Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have experience editing YouTube content
- Understand pacing and viewer retention
- Know how to edit talking-head educational content
- Can tell the difference between an important pause and dead space
- Have strong attention to detail
- Can follow editing guidelines while also using good judgment
- Communicate clearly
- Meet deadlines consistently
- Are comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions
- Want a long-term working relationship rather than just completing one video
Experience editing content in the business, productivity, ADHD, education, coaching, or personal-brand space is a plus, but not required.
Important
I'm not looking for someone who simply asks "Where should I cut the video?"
I'm looking for an editor who can watch the content, understand the point I'm making, and make editing decisions that help tell the story and keep the viewer interested.
You don't have to be a YouTube strategist, but you should understand that YouTube editing is different from simply making a video look pretty.
Retention matters.
Compensation
Starting rate: $60 USD per completed 10–15 minute YouTube video. Hours can vary from 5 to 10 hours a week.
This is a per-video role rather than an hourly position.
There is room to increase the rate based on the quality of your work, consistency, turnaround time, and our long-term working relationship.
Additional compensation may be available for Shorts/Reels or other editing projects outside the standard long-form video.
To Apply
Please send:
1. A short introduction about yourself.
2. At least 3 examples of YouTube videos you've edited, preferably talking-head or educational content.
3. What editing software you use.
4. Your typical turnaround time for a 10–15 minute YouTube video.
5. Your rate per video or hourly rate.
6. Whether you also edit Shorts/Reels.
7. A brief explanation of what you believe makes a talking-head YouTube video engaging.
And please start your application with the words "47 TABS"
This lets me know you actually read the job description.
Potential for Long-Term Work
I'm looking to build this channel consistently, so if we work well together, this can become an ongoing role with regular videos rather than a one-time project.
