Dispatch Agent — Local Services (UK)
We're hiring 2–3 remote Dispatch Agents for our UK local-services brands. You'll take customer calls, book jobs in and dispatch the right local tradesperson.
The details:
• Hours: 8am–8pm UK time, seven days a week
• Shifts: split between two or more people, for example a 3-day and 4-day rota, or 5 and 2. We'll agree whatever works best
• Pay: $3–$6.50 per hour, based on experience
• Location: remote
• Start: a two-week paid trial
• US hours: we're opening a US branch, so let us know if you're interested in US hours too
The role:
We run local home-services brands across the UK, covering plumbing, drainage, roofing and more. Each brand has one phone number. Every job goes to an independent local partner company, which quotes, does the work and invoices the customer directly. As Dispatch Agent, you connect the two.
Responsibilities:
1. Answer every call with energy, as the brand the customer rang. Take their name, mobile, postcode and the problem.
2. Dispatch. Ring our partner technicians to find who can attend soonest.
3. Book. Call the customer back within 10 minutes, confirm the slot, and put the job in our CRM (GoHighLevel) with the tech assigned.
4. Follow up. Keep notes and job stages up to date until the job is complete. Escalate complaints the same day.
5. Invoice. Send invoices to our partner companies once jobs are complete.
Never quote prices or arrival times, take payment, say "our plumbers" or "our crews", or claim that anyone is licensed, insured or vetted.
Requirements:
• A clear British or American English accent
• You must be high energy and ambitious
• Reliable availability for your agreed shifts, between 8am and 8pm UK time
• At least one year of phone, reception or dispatch experience. Trades experience is a plus
• Attention to detail: begin your application with the exact words "Booked and texted". Applications that don't will not be reviewed
• An expectation of excitement whenever you answer every call. That's how we answer today
• A quiet workspace, a noise-cancelling headset and reliable internet
• Confidence with a CRM, and calm under pressure
How to apply:
Message us with your experience, the days you'd like to work (UK hours, US hours, or both) and your hourly rate. The first thing I'll ask for is an MP3 of you reading the script below, so attach it to your first message. Record it in one take, on your work headset, with no editing or filters.
Once I've responded and you've sent your MP3, I'll invite you to a call with me this week. Interviews are on 5 and 6 October, and we're looking to hire 2–3 people by 7 October.
"Good morning, thanks for calling. How can I help? Oh no, a leak through the ceiling. Let's get you sorted. Can I take your name, mobile and postcode? That's 14 Wellington Road, TW2 5HQ. Perfect. I'll check which local partner company can get to you soonest and call you back within ten minutes.
Good news: a partner can be with you between two and four this afternoon. They're their own business, so they'll quote before any work starts and invoice you directly. I'll text you their details now."
