JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a Collections & Accounts Specialist to join an early-stage security technology startup as part of their offshore operations team.

This company uses technology to make it easier for businesses to access and manage security services. This role will focus on collections, client accounts, billing, and customer support, making sure accounts stay accurate, invoices are paid on time, and payment or account issues are followed up on and resolved quickly.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with customers, following up on payments, solving problems, and keeping things moving. You'll communicate directly with clients and agencies, follow up on outstanding invoices, verify payments, answer account questions, and help make sure client accounts are accurate and up to date.

As part of an early-stage company, you'll have a lot of ownership in the role. You'll be trained on their systems and processes, but you'll also be expected to take initiative, work independently, make decisions, and take things and run with them.

What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day collections, billing, and client account activities.
- Follow up with clients and agencies on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
- Communicate directly with clients and agencies about invoices, payments, account questions, and discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts and payment status to identify overdue, missing, or incorrect payments.
- Review invoices and verify that billing amounts are accurate.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account concerns.
- Provide customer support related to client accounts, invoices, payments, and billing questions.
- Keep accurate records of invoices, payments, collection follow-ups, account activity, and outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with internal teams to clarify billing, staffing, or account-related questions.
- Help maintain accurate client account information and follow up on anything that needs to be corrected or updated.
- Help improve collections, billing, and account management processes.
- Identify recurring customer or payment issues and suggest practical ways to improve processes.
- Take on different responsibilities as the company grows.

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, billing, account management, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience managing customer or client accounts, invoices, outstanding payments, and payment follow-ups.
- Direct experience working with U.S.-based customers or clients is highly preferred.
- Experience working with a staffing agency, recruitment agency, BPO, or other service-based agency is highly preferred.
- Strong customer support and communication skills, with experience communicating directly with clients about payments, account concerns, and billing issues.
- Experience reviewing invoices, verifying payment amounts, and resolving billing or payment discrepancies.
- Experience working with timesheets or timekeeping systems is a huge plus, especially in a staffing, BPO, or service-based environment.
- Previous experience working with a startup or fast-paced environment is a strong plus.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools to improve workflows or solve problems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow issues through to resolution.
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and make decisions without needing constant direction.
- Comfortable learning new systems and working with technology.
- Must be available to work U.S. time zones.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated WFH setup required.

Salary and Benefits
- Base salary: 65,000 PHP per month
