JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing international DTC jewelry company looking for a Senior Chargeback & Risk Analyst to manage and analyze chargeback alerts, disputes and payment-related risks across multiple markets.
The priority of this role is accuracy, analysis and control: understanding what is happening, making sure cases are handled correctly and on time, and identifying the root causes behind chargebacks so we can prevent them.
What you will do
Manage chargeback alerts and formal disputes across multiple payment platforms
Track deadlines and ensure cases are handled on time
Prepare and submit dispute evidence
Review refunds, alerts, disputes and case outcomes
Identify duplicate alerts or already-refunded cases
Maintain accurate chargeback data and reporting
Analyze chargebacks by reason, store, processor, product, courier and operational root cause
Identify recurring patterns and financial risks
Provide clear feedback to Customer Service and Supply Chain
Track coverage, won/lost outcomes and recovery
Support SOP improvements and evidence standards
Identify repetitive manual work that can be simplified or automated
What we are looking for
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Experience with chargebacks, payments, fraud, risk or financial operations
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong investigation and root-cause analysis skills
Comfortable working with transactional data and multiple platforms
Strong ownership and follow-up
Able to identify patterns, not only process individual cases
Able to explain findings clearly and recommend next actions
Strong written English
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
AI & automation mindset
We want someone curious, AI-native and highly analytical.
You should be comfortable using tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to:
analyze chargeback patterns
investigate possible root causes
challenge assumptions
improve evidence and SOPs
structure reporting
explore prevention opportunities
Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier or similar automation tools is strongly preferred.
You do not need to be an automation developer, but you should be able to identify repetitive work, explain the business logic and help test automated workflows.
Nice to have
Experience with:
Shopify
----------
Ethoca
Verifi / RDR / CDRN
payment processors / merchant accounts
fraud prevention
Excel / Google Sheets
DTC ecommerce
What success looks like
You should be able to clearly explain:
What chargebacks are coming in?
Where are we losing money?
What are the main root causes?
Which patterns are increasing?
What needs to be escalated?
Which department needs to take action?
What should we improve or automate?
The goal is not only to handle chargebacks, but to help the company reduce them at the source through better analysis and feedback.
Remote, full-time position.
