Digital Marketing Manager – Part-Time
We are seeking a part-time Digital Marketing Manager to help our church strengthen its online presence and better communicate with our congregation and community.
This is a flexible position averaging approximately 5 hours per week. There are no set workdays or hours, making it a good opportunity for someone who is currently employed, freelancing, or otherwise looking to add a few hours of meaningful work each week.
Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Manager will help keep our church’s digital communications current, engaging, and consistent. Responsibilities will include:
Social Media Management – Create and post content on
Short-Form Video Creation – Identify engaging moments from longer church content, such as sermons and classes, and turn them into short videos (generally under 60 seconds) for social media and video platforms.
Basic Graphic Design – Create clean, attractive graphics for social media posts, events, announcements, and ministry activities using tools such as Canva or similar platforms.
Website Updates – Keep the church website current by updating existing pages, event information, images, announcements, and other content. This position does not require website design or development.
Digital Marketing Support – Recommend and implement other practical ways to improve the church’s digital presence, communication, and community outreach based on your experience and skills.
Content Planning – Help maintain a simple, consistent schedule for social media and digital content.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate:
Has experience managing social media for a business, church, nonprofit, organization, or personal brand.
Is comfortable creating short-form video content from longer videos.
Has basic graphic design skills and experience with Canva or similar tools.
Can work independently and manage a small number of hours effectively.
Has good judgment regarding what content is appropriate and effective for a church audience.
Is dependable, organized, and able to meet reasonable posting deadlines.
Can bring ideas and recommendations rather than simply waiting for assignments.
Is comfortable working within the mission, values, and communication style of a Christian church.
Schedule
Approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility in when the work is completed. There are generally no required set days or working hours, although some church events or announcements may require timely posting.
This could be an ideal opportunity for someone who already has a full-time or part-time position and would like to use their digital marketing skills for a few additional hours each week.
